Very engrossing story, had a job to stop reading each day.
The story is so engrossing, you would think you are there with the characters, loved it from start to finish. This is my favourite author, can't wait to read another one of hers.

Fantastic Read
Katie Flynn has excelled herself in this book. Christianity can cause problems when you fall in love with someone who is not the same religion but you can always find a way to overcome things.

Lovely Story
Another great book by Katie Flynn. The characters are brought to life. I’m now reading the follow up story about Polly. Thanks Katie.

Recommended for an easy read
First book I recall reading by Katie Flynn. Having recently visited Liverpool and seen the wonderful regeneration that has taken place I enjoyed the setting and also the link to Strawberry Fields. Unremarkable story line of the usual poverty and hardship but will read more of her work.I did find there was too much of the book written in Irish brogue and colloquialisms this made it rather pleasurable to read as it was sometimes heavy going. Just my personal opinion of course.Alarming how very recently prejudice was still so strong between the Catholic and Protestant communities.

Beautiful story. Highly recommended!
Strawberry Fields is the second novel I've read by Katie Flynn and I'm already addicted to this amazing author. I was so drawn to this tale that I was unable to put the book, or rather the kindle down. A heart-warming story set in Liverpool and Ireland. The characters are so true to form that they come to life and this beautiful story unravels flawlessly. So pleased to have found the sequel to Strawberry Fields. (Polly's Angel) As I was left wondering why the author had not tied up the loose ends that were niggling me. So do read Strawberry fields first.
