Twenty to Make: Mini Sugar Bags

I purchased this book as a gift for a friend who loves baking cakes but who was running out of ideas for unusual decoration. Although this is a small book, the instructions seem easy enough to follow. I was a little disappointed in the size of the book, but for the price it was definitely work having as a starter to cake decoration.

I was really excited when this book arrived. I'd ordered the Sugar Shoes to go with it. Having bought several of Frances McNaughton's books before, I knew that there would be pictures of each bag and clear instructions - I was not disappointed! Lots of different styles of bag, suitable for girls and women of all ages. Most can be made quite simply, using cutters and tools that most cake makers would have. Clever ways of making embellishments, straps, etc. Perfect for decorating a large cake or for cupcake toppers. Excellent value for money. Would make a lovely gift. Highly recommended.

Handy little book in this series of things to make. Some lovely ideas which can be copied or adapted to your own needs. The book shows not only how to make each specific bag, but also how to get the effects of the 'fabric' and other materials.

Another reasonable purchase for sugar craft, giving ideas for cupcakes or small cake decoration. This series of twenty to make is ideal for beginners and experienced cake decorators.

I was asked to make a shopping theme cake and using the instructions in this book, I made a few rice paper carrier bags with various shop logos. Got many compliments.

Purchased this to supplement my mini shoes cake decorating book. Love France's McNaughton books. Wood certainly recommend these types of books.

Und für diesen Preis ist es immer erschwinglich.

Was expecting a little more detailing. But overall a good book to get you started.

I have to say that when I purchased this book I was not sure if I would like it but once I got it I really loved it. It's full of lots of beautiful color photos and lots of ideas for little handbags in fondant. However, I bought this book to make these same items out of polymer clay. I make cakes but I also sculpt jewelry out of clay, so this book gives me the best of both worlds. I have found that any book that I buy for fondant I can use for clay and visa versa. This same publisher also makes a book with ideas for lots of little shoes.So if you want a good book with lots of great ideas for little handbags then this is a good book to ad to you collection.

These are easy sugar bags to make. For the beginner, the book is more than adequate. As for me, the basics allowed me to increase the size and decorate as I pleased.

I own several of these books and every single one of them are worth a fun afternoon! Very creative ideas and user friendly!
