We replaced our wood fireplace with a natural gas one. We missed the scent and sound of burning wood. This candle provides both. I find all candles a bit on the expensive side and this one's no exception. It DOES last a long time though. We only use it when our new fireplace is lit.

I purchased a candle from another place that had a wood wick thinking it would be the same, it wasn't. Not having experienced an actual WoodWick candle, I didn't know. All I knew was that it wasn't a big deal. It sounded a bit different than a regular candle but nothing special. I decided to buy an actual WoodWick candle to see if there was a difference and am so happy I did.This candle's wick sounds wonderful, very relaxing and the scent is amazing. It's a whole different level and worth buying.

We love this candle and have purchased several. It kind of pops while it’s burning (like a fire does) and it smells really good.

Almost a month into winter, I realized we didn't have any candles appropriate for the season so I searched Google to see what I could find and discovered WoodWick. We don't have a fireplace so I thought the Fireside candle would at least give us the crackle and smell of one, and it absolutely does. The first time I lit the candle it emited a fragrance that smelled nothing like burning wood or a fireplace. I would have been disappointed had it not smelled great regardless. It was more like light perfume than anything, but I was happy to have something I enjoyed that filled the void.Then it happened. A few days ago, after a handful of lightings, I was in the kitchen and I smelled what I would have sworn was a fireplace. Now every time I light it the candle smells the way I hoped it would when I bought it and I'm definitely going to buy more. I've also never seen a candle burn so evenly or effectively. I honestly believe that when the candle is finally exhausted there will be minimal cleaning of the glass container in which it burns. A quarter of the candle has melted and the glass has very little wax left over. It's almost as if the candle was never there and it's pretty impressive to see.I can't really speak to the longevity of the candle because I mostly work from home and like to let it burn throughout the day, so I'm burning through it quicker than most. But I'd imagine it would last quite a while if it's only lit a few hours a day, a few days a week, or on special occasions. Either way, I can't recommend this candle enough and I'm looking forward to trying other scents when winter turns to spring.

I purchased this because I love lighting a fire in a fireplace and the smell it creates. Unfortunately, I cannot have a fireplace where I live so I purchased an electric "fireplace." But I miss that smell. So I purchased this candle. The wick does crackle but you have to be real close to hear it. As far as the scent, it's pleasant but it doesn't smell like burning wood.

Trully live the fireplace scent. Candles burn well and lady a long time. Glass can be used as a base when bringing flowers to a friend The double use is nice and the candle is great to look at.
