This is a wonderful product. I got a set of 3 soap bars - to wash my hands, use in the shower and I gave one as a gift to my daughter. This is my first experience with tallow and this soap is amazing. Leathers well and is so gentle on the skin. Obviously made with a lot of love and care. When I researched into other products that have tallow, it seemed like quite a few customers complain about the smell. Not an issue with this soap. My son smelled it and said it smells like an old-fashioned (in a good way), hand-made soap. I have a very sensitive nose and at times I can smell a tiny bit of the top quality beef broth. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that for me. If I enjoy eating something, I can definitely tolerate it on my skin. And even so, this smell is very light and goes away in seconds. These soaps are made of triple-rendered tallow and I know that such rendering makes tallow very clean and with no to little scent. I wish Amazon offered more of such traditional, small batch, lovingly hand-made products and less of imported junk that is mostly the result of mass production.

This soap has been a life saver for my son. My son has severe eczema and a number of allergies. This is really the only soap I can use for him, and we’ve such an improvement with his skin quality and texture.

Nice soap. Has a veerrry slight tallow smell, but still a great soap.

I love this soap! At first I wasn't sure. It really doesn't smell as much as I wish it did. But it makes my skin so soft and moisturized! Usually I can't wait to put on moisturizer after a shower because other soaps are so drying. The other day I realized that I forgot to put on moisturizer and I didn't even notice! I don't have air conditioning and I take a cool shower in the afternoon to cool off. Putting moisturizer right after just made me hot again. This soap just left my skin soft and clean. I'll never go back.

Best soap I have ever used. About to reorder. Love it! Got the unscented. Soap as it was intended by whatever cave man or woman first discovered how to make it. Try it and you'll never go back to that mystery garbage they sell at the grocery store.

This was my first experience with tallow soap. I wanted a soap with as few ingredients as possible and was sold when I found the frankincense option. The soap itself lasts a while and lathers in between hands quickly without much effort or product. Skin feels great and hydrated if you have hard water or dry skin this is the way to go. I use it everywhere but my hair and as an experiment I eliminating all other products and let my body adjust. However, the soap, has a smell. It smells like burnt hair I have scented and unscented, and I bought a lot of bars on my second order thinking it was a fluke. But my skin and clothes now smell like burnt hair. I smell it and can’t unsmell it, doing a bit of googling I read if the fat wasn’t rendered properly it will smell, not sure what to do, I really wanted to like this small brand.

A perfect soap for all skin types. I tried it and then gave a bar to my daughter. She and her husband also loved it. Feels great on your skin and seems to actually nourish it. If you’re looking for lots of suds, this soap is not for you but if you want a soothing experience you can’t beat it!
