Excellent build quality, nice and bright.
We have a small bedroom with a queen sleigh bed, and how things are arranged to allow my wheelchair make it cramped. When my GF goes to the bathroom she has to walk around the bed and bumping and tripping over it are annoying and dangerous.I know why not a night light? Well, she can't stand any light in the room while sleeping. Also the spot where we can plug a nightlight into is often bumped into as she makes her way around. Tried a motion activated night light, seemed good until she broke the thing bumping into it.... And, all other outlets are nicely hidden away by furniture. On my side are two led indicator lights on a power strip that help a little, while not being so bright she can't sleep. But, they are not nightlight bright at all.So, looking at options I came across this light.I love that it is USB rechargeable. Comes with a cable and plugs into ANY USB power source/wart.Could not be easier to use: Turn on press for 2 or so seconds. Button on same side as the USB port.Press the power button once. A momentary press, makes the sensor dome on the front glow a faint green, and pressing it onw more time makes the dome glow a soft red.In the soft red mode is the one we like for motion sensing at night. The sensor is very good and sensitive. The light stays on for about 60 seconds. One charge lasts 30 days with the light turning on up to 20 times a night/day depending on where you have it.Ours is located at the end of the bed facing away and where you would walk. The adhesive is strong and seems to hold just fine. The magnets are very strong and hold on very well. I think it may be magnet to magnet connection to insure it won't fall out of the bracket. When placing in the bracket it makes a very satisfying click or magnets engaged sound. You will feel the magnets grip and snatch the light out of your fingers to snap in place ready to work.Very low profile so this ir these would work under kitchen cabinets if you didn't want to install wired lights.Could be used in a closet. Pantry, storage locker. Now for some more interesting uses.Could be mounted to the underside of a wheelchair, or depending on the frame and model to the sides or front. Possibly even the back.I would secure the light with velcro also to add double protection of falling offThis unit is NOT waterproof so consider that when looking to use it on a wheelchair.Definitely would recommend this handy bright light to anyone needing some light in a dark area.

Veepeak Rechargeable 42 LED Motion Sensor Light Bar
This has 3 settings, motion on always or only in dark or always on with a very nice clean white light. I like it uses the magntic strip which is easly stuck to any surface that can take a glue strip. Light sensor is good and when needed just removes from the magntic strip for recharging using a usb cord then just stick it back to the strip. Don't turn on in front of your face its that bright, i like this.Update: sadly i never got the chance to use 2 i bought in FL. Back in NY and haven't been able to find them and looked everywhere I wanted this for under my kitchen cabinet to replace battery ones. Ordered another one and this will be installed. what is nice about these light goes on and out slowly so no great shock to the eyes.Update: this time installed it under my kitchen cabinet and its working great. Motion sensor isn't to sensitive so no false lighting, cabinets bottom is recessed with 2" lip but no trouble detecting motion where i want it and stickup pad holds fast so take care before sticking it up. I have set to work every time motion is detected and it does just like i wanted it to, forget battery ones that require changing and go this way.Update: looking around the basement found box with veepeak light bought 2018 in FL. Basement in cold since really not used and Metal case showed that but when pushed the power button lights came on no problems. Fully charged and now working just like new ones, pretty impressive.Update: 2021 and they still working even after my sister knocked one into sink with water in it. Acted funny until fully dried out and back to normal. Set for motion light/dark and seam to last about 2 weeks coming on multiple times a day before needing to recharge which has saved cost of these in batteris and convenience just takes few hours to recharge. Still just as bright, still working like right out of the boxUpdate: January 2022 and just position one that has been in the box i bought years ago, worked perfectly still holding its originally charge that is very impressive. Only improvement would be bigger capacity battery with rapid usb-c charging.

Tricky push-button menu, but good once you get the hang of it.
I have a few other Veepeak lights and love them so much that I have given them away as gifts and encouraged others to order them as well. This light doesn't measure up.The design is great. The extruded aluminum shell is super sleek. The magnetic mounting strip is awesome. The quality of the light is very close to daylight, making it very easy to tell colors apart. Trouble sorting blacks and blues? This light makes it a breeze. There are two major flaws. Veepeak's older models had a simple switch to choose between off, on, full brightness and half brightness. The charge on their older, smaller units lasts for months. I still use them every day and have for many years.Figuring out which mode you're in with this light is extremely difficult. More precisely, motion only or motion and photocell. The directions say there is either a green or red LED that can be seen when switching modes. I saw those indicators once each, then never again. Finally, the photocell is extremely sensitive. You need to be in nearly total darkness before the photocell triggers the lamp.UPDATE: I was set to return this item, and I ordered two similar units from another seller, which I gave away as gifts. The instructions from the other seller were more clear. Now, that I have figured out how to move between settings, I have decided to keep this light. I have placed it over my kitchen sink, and have it set to automatically turn on when someone approaches the sink. This gives us hands-free light when needed...and only when needed. That was the goal, and we can now declare the mission accomplished.
