This set is a quality kit for the price, and does an excellent job at grooving out small windows on plastic models, or cleaning up channels. It works great at poking small holes as well. Great accessory for model building and would definitely buy again!

Scribed wiring trenches for starship model.

I wanted some small tools for fine carving and thought that for the price I couldn't lose much if these didn't work. I've been happily surprised. The set it well made, the chisels are sharp, and they cut through the baked Fimo and tagua nuts I wanted to carve on wonderfully. I haven't tried them on anything particularly hard, but for what I wanted, they are great!

I do a lot of wood carvings and sometimes I need very small tools to get in tight, tiny places. This set of micro chisels is just the ticket! Nicely machined aluminum handle, deeply knurled for a good grip and control. The flats on the handle let you see, and feel, where the cutting edge is in relation to the work piece. Some of these are so small, without that feature, they would be hard to keep the chisel edge parallel to the work. Comes with 7 different sizes from 2.0mm down to 0.1mm. TINY! Sizes are laser etched on each chisel. Razor sharp, they cut easily. Nice case to keep everything together. Chisels are in a small case with a slot for each size, and an Allen wrench and spare set screw. Has a silicone sleeve I think is to cover the handle if you prefer. Not sure what the roll of 1/8" tape is for. Overall, a really nice set of micro chisels. Good value!

I initially ordered this to use as a carving tool to do detail work on wood patterns. The small tips make it exceptionally nice for that function.After using it a bit, I found it to be useful for more than that, simple cleaning of small parts, or arrangement of small items. This thing works great.The handle is small, but not too small to be awkward. I'm 6'5" with fairly large hands in the handle fits just perfectly for me. The knurled grip allows it to be easily manipulated.The packaging could use some improvement, but at least it exists. It comes in a small clear plastic case that snaps closed. The case can hold the handle, and a separate plastic case which holds the various bits.There is a rubber sleeve which is intended to be a cover when you leave a blade in the handle, but it's a bit difficult to put on, like it's designed for a slightly smaller tool.
