2nd Hard drive caddy for DELL Studio 1745, 1747, 1749

Q: does it come with sata adapter? one customer said he didn't get it in the kit. dell studio 1747

Yes, the kit was complete with sata adapter. It was easy to install even for a novice like myself. The partitioning was a bit more complicated but I was able to do that as well with lots of youtube instructions viewing.

Q: About adapter interposer, are In and Out on opposite sides or at an angle of 90°?

The interposer is not at an angle of 90°, but on opposite sides.

Q: This seems way too expensive for a piece of metal. anyone know where to get just the Sata adapter? dont get why they made the connection like that.

I can't exactly remember where i got the SATA connector, but it wasn't hard to find. just put the selection into Google. There was some small computer web site that had it for under $10. I think i paid $15 with the freight. but i also bought this mount, and irrespective of the price, it worked great and i thought it was worth the money because i wanted it right. Mounted perfect. I do recommend it if you are going to add a second hard drive.

Q: will this work in the 1737?

I really don't know. It worked on my Dell Studio 1747.
