BUY for YANDA-US 10" Car Cam DVR
The media could not be loaded. So here is my review of this YANDA 10" Dash Cam DVR Back-Up Camera.Buy or No Buy: BUYThe item was packaged very nicely and looks very professional. The installation took about 2.5 hours to do to ensure the install quality looks it was done by an audio and video store and the display and cameras worked as advertised. Below will be my notes of the product.PROs:* not a strap on rear view mirror like others. The unit feels heavy and durable.* the front view camera is adjustable to be able to cover most of the front area of the vehicle.* The rearview camera is adjustable.* Live video quality to the viewer is very clear from the front and rear camera.* Able to view front, rear and both front and rear at the same time.* Lane guidance work if your camera is aimed to the lane markings* Accident avoidance works if the camera detects a vehicle or object ahead.* Cable provided should be able to span a normal car or minivan. I had no issue running the cables from the rearview mirror location to the rear liftgate location.* The mirror will work even without the SD in place.* Audio is clear on playback.CONs:* Biggest complaint: the mirror does not recognize some of my SD cards and it "murdered" one of my SD cards not allowing it sync with the computer or the mirror. I ordered another SD card to test the recording to see if the mirror is going to damage the SD card again.* The mirror-touch screen is too sensitive.* The mirror picks up finger oil too easily. I think they could have done a better job of getting a different coating.* The backup lane is not accurate and is too close.* Although the video quality is clear on the viewfinder, it is NOT clear when uploaded to Youtube or when reviewing the footage on a computer. I kind of questioned if the camera lens are Sony quality as I have seen other 1080P footage being very clear and not pixelated.* Poor user manual instruction booklet. Mostly Chinese and it is not good for the US market. They need to hire an English speaking writer to help draft the manual or ask for user support. It hard to use and figure out what the wiring diagram was connected to.* Hard to navigate between views. I had to figure out that you must swipe left or right to change views and when you do that, it tilts the view of the camera digitally. YANDA should develop a upgraded FW to lock the view so it does not change with you swipe to the next screen. Again the user manual and instruction is poorly written on how to operate the mirror.

Not ready yet. Wait for version 2.0
Update 1 - I was first asked to describe the issue.....wait 24 hr for a response. I then was asked to take a video of the issues.........wait 24 hr for a response. I was then asked to take a picture of the units start up screen.........wait 24 hr for a response. I then was asked to take a picture of the back of the unit for the s/n on the back........I was then told 10 hours after I sent my email it was the weekend and they couldn't work on it until Monday. My Suburban has been torn apart for 5 days now waiting for a firmware patch. So if you have an extra car and a sense of humor to idiotic emails I would recommend this product to you. Otherwise I'm going to give either the Ehoom or Autovox a try.I was very hopeful that this mirror would help with the blind spots behind my Suburban, but it DOES NOT WORK! Everything is installed properly and the unit powers up. However the screen freezes up within the first 3 seconds. I've been working with the seller, but beware it literally takes 24 hours to get a response. So my first question to the seller was answered with another question from the seller. I am on day 2, and once again waiting for a response. If this is not resolved in the next 24 hours this unit is going back and I'm going to purchase the Autovox mirror.

Good quality + Convenient
The media could not be loaded. First time ever that I installed a touchscreen dual camera on my car. It's no doubt that the 1080p bring out the best view while driving.Do not buy the product if you don't know how to install a DVR with hard wire into your car fuse. Or else, find someone to help you out. It's dangerous to mess with the car fuse, it may cause other problems to the car engine and battery, and it's not cheap to fix those problems. If you plan to install it yourself, make sure you learn how to use the fuse checker tool or multi-voltmeter. You will need to know which fuse has constant voltage and which wire is hot and cold in the car. There is 1 wire connect to the ignition fuse (red + fuse) which let the camera record as regular when you key on the car. Another wire will be connected to the constant 12V from the car battery or fuse box (yellow + fuse), you can find it an open circuit or using fuse adapter, make sure to check the "constant 12V" by professional device, other wise, it will burn the other fuses. The purpose of this constant 12V is making sure that the sensor will always be on. That means even if your car is turned off, the camera still recording under fast motion by stand by mode. The last wire is for the back camera, you have to open the reverse light and attach the wire together in order to switch the camera to rear view when you reverse. You can view the camera in 3 mode: all front, all back, and half front- half back. The best part about using the DVR is seeing the back of the car. One doesn't have to worry about the shining of the sun or the dark at night, or even the rain when looking at the mirror because the back camera does it all. The cameras can be adjusted by using the touch screen mirror. However, it can only be moved up and down- for the back camera, and hand adjust + touch screen adjust for front camera. I would suggest using the 128GB memory card because the dual DVR fill up quick your memory card.

Not high enough quality for the price.
Purchased this after purchasing a more expensive unit by another manufacturer. I was hoping for similar quality at a slightly lower price. While this unit does offer a full screen picture, it was not the quality I expected. The image was hard to see and did not look good at night. After using it a week it started to shut off after 15-20 minutes of driving, which was very frustrating. Ended up returning due to this defect. If you want a full-time rearview camera system, spend $50 more and get one that is higher quality.
