Generic connector on the male end, genuine TE on the female end
I have not installed these on a vehicle yet, so this is just based on a visual inspection. With a generic item at this price, I was expecting generic connectors and sloppy terminations. I was impressed to find good fitment, good terminations, and a "TE" marked female connector. The molding and plastic quality of the female connector is noticeably better than the male one, and it seems to actually be genuine TE Connectivity. The fiber optic ends visible in both connectors are also clean and square. I am impressed with these testers so far.

A very good value for what it does
If you happen to have a Porsche a BMW or even a jaguar and you are having issues with the factory system this is a must-have item. Making a jump wire is no longer a solution. You have to use this fiber optic cable on your connections for your sound system.
