just received product and plugged it in for its first charge. There is a steady red light on charger. What does this mean?

It should turn green when it’s fully charged so I would think it means it’s not charged if it is steady red. Maybe try to unplug and plug in again it has to be pushed in tight.

Is this good for salt water pool?

We have a salt water pool and it worked great. I usually rinsed the bag each time. Just to clean it good. But we didnt have any problems.

The manufacture site says the Catfish Ultra comes with a free pole. But in one oh the question about it the seller said no pole was included?

Mine did not come with a pole. Don't know if they do now since I did order mine quite a while ago. I love the pool blasters. This is my second one and my best advice to you if you haven't used one before is to not overcharge the battery as they are very sensitive. I only charge mine for 6 hours and I've had it for 3 years now. A lot of people say they don't last more than a season but the battery issue may be why. Hope this helps!

Does it pick up sand?

Yes, it picks up sand. It works best without the foot attachment.
