Easy to use. Know that you can slide off the platform that holds traditional slides so that your child can explore larger items under magnification. My 9 year old loves “zooming in” to her world. Dirt and dust have been very illuminating! Taking photos of her findings make this a step above a traditional microscope, which we already have. Also, portability. We were able to take this with us in vacation where we have a different ecosystem to explore and learn about. She enjoys it and I love that she is learning perspective.

The pictures speak for themselves, but this little mobile microscope is awesome. It’s sturdy, functional, and easy to use. The focus works well once you practice with it a little. The photos are real images of real LICE from my daughter’s head 🤮 and a real lice egg on a piece of her hair. Thankfully I caught it early and only found one bug, but I immediately put that sucker under the microscope to take a closer look. I did the same thing with a nit (egg). So cool for science nerds. Now my 8 year old son is fascinated and uses it to look at everything. Best value $40 you’ll spend for hours of entertainment. (Note: her lice is now gone 😉)

Okay, if these actually magnified 800x, you would be able to see bacteria with this. That's absolutely not the case, you can't even seen protists with this.That being said, it is very easy to use and useful for viewing very small things like plant parts and insect mouthpieces. I took it into my college classroom where I teach lab and for some things, like looking at the carpels of a flower, it was much easier to use than a dissecting microscope, and much cheaper. So very good product, just misleading on the magnification. However, I kind of expected that so I wasn't too shocked. But about as good as a dissecting scope for a tiny fraction of the price.

The media could not be loaded. My three year old grandson is just starting to explore this new microscope and he’s fascinated with it! It comes with pre made slides of interesting things, and I was so impressed that they can take both photos and videos of what they find. Excellent educational toy. Well worth the price. Perfect size for little hands and comes with a strap for when they are out in the yard or on walks.

My son loves it, it's very cool for the most part. The main thing I don't like is that the photo makes it seem like you'll be able to see germs and tiny things of that nature. That is not true at all, the magnification is no where close to being able to see bacteria. But it's still fun to use.

This is a great little microscope! Gave it to my 10yr old son for his bday. At first he wasn’t thrilled about getting a microscope because he wanted action figures, but then he opened it and has been having a great time putting it on everything and seeing it magnified. He loves it now! I’m looking forward to taking it outside to get a closer look at nature!
