Know what you are buying.
A 'Co-op Watermelon' is, as shown very clearly in the photograph, a mini-watermelon. The price reflects the small size. Also, best kept in the refrigerator for a few days to fully ripen before cutting open. BUT, if you want a mini for the price and are willing to wait a few days, you will get a deliciously tasty fruit 😋.

Size
Although the smallest watermelon I have ever purchased, it was tasty and more than made up for the size.

Very small
This is the third time that I have purchased this melon and probably the last. The first two were just about acceptable but the last one is by far the SMALLEST water melon that I have ever seen. Slightly bigger than a decent grapefruit.
