The light seems stout and is a nice design. Supplied hanging hardware works good but requires a minimum of vertical hanging space, and since i have very limited vertical grow space in my 2'Wx3'Lx1.5'H application, I had to rig the light with some zip ties to gain a few extra inches of grow space. Dimming feature comes in handy for my application and so far i think I prefer it to variable type dimmers. Overall I am quite content with product build and performance.

I gave been using this for about a month and my plants looking great. Im getting 450 ppfd from 18" at 50% and 1150 ppfd at 100%. Love it as good as any name brand.

I have bought this light TWICE. 1st one I received didn't have knob and dimmer didn't move past 50%.Returned, got another one.2nd one I received had knob and dimmer worked up until this morning like came on and heard something click and light went off and never was able to get it to come back on. A month apart. Maybe just bad luck but I won't be ordering another Hipar light for anything.Sent back and order whole different light.

I don’t like the way this light works it burns my plants up at anything more than 50

Only a week in and i love this light, it is well built, no asembly required. The design is well thought out and the layout and spectrum is well distributed across the lighted zone for me 4x4. Beats my Spider F unit on many attributes. I cannot comment on the long run durabiity or harvest quality, but will update in a few months on how well this unit has performed.

Works for My 4x4 Grow Tent - My plants seem to be thriving well, so the light seems to be good enough to take my plants from seed through flowering and harvest. I have a few other grow lights, but this is now my primary grow light and I don't think I will need to use 100% brightness for my current grows. It comes with an RJ12 wire to daisy chain lights, I don't have any need to daisy chain this with my grow setup so I have not used it.Okay Mounting - It also comes with 2 adjustable steel mounting wires. Each mounting wire screws onto the light by 2 mounting screws on one side, one mounting wire on each side. It can be lowered or raised, when lowering, the mounting wire apparatus needs to be pressed on top so then the wire will be released and you can adjust it down (no instructions came that mentions how to adjust this). There is about a 6 inch verticality that the mounting wires will add even when raised to the furthest top height, so keep that in mind when thinking of verticality. My plants are getting too tall now so those 6 inches are too low for my plants, therefore I removed the mounting wires and am currently using steel zip ties instead to hold the light directly below my tent ceiling.Large Grow Light - The light is relatively pretty large for a small grow tent, which is nice because it increases the light spread. It takes about 75-80% of my ceiling 4x4 grow tent. It can also fold in half to save space when storing, this mechanism works well.Almost Perfect But 5 Preset Light Dim Settings - There are 5 dim/brightness settings for the light, 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%. All my other grow lights I can change to a range from 0-100% incrementally, but not this one. I really do not like being stuck with those light brightness presets and would rather adjust it more minutely since I adjust it accordingly to my PPFD and DLI readings and I want accuracy. Instead I will have to do a combination of raising/lowering the lights and mostly probably choosing between 50% or 75%, but can't do anything inbetween, this is less than ideal.Warranty - Its good that there is a 3 year warranty. I was also able to contact customer service with some questions and they responded after a day or two. Though they did imply that the current dimming settings were made that way since the customer didn't need all those inbetween settings and that giving the customer those options would lead to more user errors.

The spectrum could be better but it's good enough. Gives out good PPFD
