I was a bit hesitant to buy a case that didn't close over/cover the screen since it's for my 9yr olds iPad but with the elevated edges the case provides great protection even if it's face down. He has dropped it but it was unharmed and protected. I also got a screen protector for it since it doesn't come with one and it fits nicely under the black edge covering. The silicone is very strong and thick. It arrived right on time with easy instructions,I highly recommend!
