Acetone are an L.A.-based trio making their Vapor debut with their 3rd album. with hushed, flowing musical textures tampered by the spare and rootsy eloquence of the band's songwriting, the result is an utterly beguiling late-night dream record (Imagine Graham Parsons hijacking the sessions for the 3rd Velvet Underground album).

Simply wonderful...
"Slow-core", "Shoe-gaze", whatever people end up pigeon holing Acetones music as, its quite simply very beautiful and this album is up with their finest works. Even my dad likes it and he's an 80 year old classical musician, who generally finds fault in pretty much all modern contemporary music. Its possibly not what you'd want to listen to first thing in the morning if you want to get out of bed, but the beguilingly gorgeous qualities of the vocals and instrumental arrangements sum together to produce a sound so lovely you just get sucked right in. Similar in many ways to Spain (the band, especially around the mid 90s "Blue Moods Of Spain" era).

A hidden gem
Acetone are one of the great lost bands of the 90s and their seminal LP is their most complete.Somewhere to the left of Neil Young, the band's harmonies and beautifully recorded riffs flow like the great laid back, head-nodding recordings of Teenage Fanclub with amazing lustrous and mellow tones. The other reviewer of this great record is way off. This is a true classic. You should buy it. Now.
