Has a pad in the crotch area
I have been wearing "period panties" for some time now since I have had three kids and a random, unprepared sneeze can pretty much ruin a day. This is a bit different than the type I have been wearing. These panties have a pad built into the crotch area. It will hold quite a bit of liquid, but it still feels like you are wearing a pad. The other areas of the panties are a nice thin microfiber type material that is very smooth. Seems true to size. I got an XL knowing that so many brands are mis-sized if they are from other countries but I should have gotten a large. The XL is not excessively large, but you are better off ordering true to size. The debate is whether these panties are better than wearing a light incontinence pad that you can take off and toss, or change out, rather than having to change your entire underwear when you think there is "enough" liquid in them that you don't feel like lugging around. This option is definitely great as a security measure when you are traveling or away from home with the amount of liquid it will hold.

decently comfortable and absorbent
I had never tried something like this, but thought it may be useful. It's decently comfortable. In the begining I could barely tell I was wearing different underwear, but as the day went on, it felt more like I was wearing a thick pad. It wasn't too bad though, and less chafing than a pad is, but still noticable. I tested the absorbency with about 80 ml of water. It doesn't absorb super fast, but it did absorb until about the last ~5 ml, where it seemed like it was starting to sit on the surface. I don't think it would be comfortable to wear with that much liquid, but it would be fine for less. It is meant to be washed cold, tumbled low, and discarded after 30 washes.

Comparison to Thinx period underwear
Admittedly I thought this was the normal Thinx period underwear when I ordered, and didn’t realize it was the incontinence kind until after. I can’t speak to its efficacy in incontinence leak protection, but I can at least say it works fine for periods. There are a number of differences to the period underwear, of which I have two (one with a regular absorbency and one heavy), notably that the pad part of this underwear has more coverage in the front than the back. Makes sense since the urethra is further up than the vagina, but if you plan to use this for periods too, just take note of that in case you need more coverage further back. It feels a little thicker as well than the heavy Thinx period underwear I have. Fit overall is about the same though!

Comfortable but not invisible
I thought I would try these as an alternate to wearing panty liners, which can stick to your skin and shed adhesive (not fun). They are fairly comfortable and feel secure but definitely will show lines at the legs. They would work well if your shirt covers your backside or if you have thicker pants/slacks. But if you're aiming for a smooth silhouette, this is not your garment. Also, they are quite pricey for a single pair ($37). I will keep these around for if I need more protection one day. But for now, I will stick with my usual routine.

Great quality fabric however water test sits on top
The Thinx For All Leaks Hip-Hugger Underwear, Holds up to 100ml or 6tbps or 1/4 Cup Worth of Liquid, Light Absorbency Incontinence Underwear for Women, FSA HSA Approved Feminine Care, BlackBerry, is well made thick material. It is very comfortable and it has a built-in pad. When I tested it with just water it does sit on the pad so it would be uncomfortable. I tested it a couple more times even with half the water and it sits on the pad and it also goes through. Regular pads have lock away moisture so you're not feeling the wetness.I think this could be good to wear if you have just occasional small leakage, however for the price I would have expected them to test it that actually worked as advertised.

True to size; thin and a little low; distracting pad bulk
This is the fifth set of menstrual/incontinence undergarments I have tested; these are my least favorite of five, but this is partially personal preference and partially fit.The Thinx For All Leaks Hip-Hugger Underwear runs true to size. I have a 36" waist and ordered the XXL. They fit adequately, but like many XXL women I have a tummy, and the waistband is just a little low and slips down over time, eventually tucking itself under my little pocket of flab. The Thinx For All Leaks Hip-Hugger Underwear is fairly silky, sort of rayon-polyester feel. Consequently, they are quite thin, so that the stiff crotch insert is really uncomfortable and distracting when dry. These did not leak while I wore them, but I did find the extra bulge from liquid even more unpleasant. I have so far preferred thicker menstrual and incontinence undergarments, with less distracting edges for the absorbent sections, so if you like the super-thin ones this might be right for you. It's not right at all for me.

Soft and well made
These panties for any kind of leaks are nice. There are a cross between soft and silky. They have a build in pad that covers front to back area leaks. They are washable and reuseable. They fit well. I usually take a Small but I ordered a medium to be safe. I probably could have ordered a small but the mediums fit fine. These are true to size and comfortable.

Comfortable
I’m not exactly incontinent but not perfect either. These will give me a bit more confidence on long outings. They are comfortable. I like my underwear to be loose, and these looked as if they might be tight, so I ordered several sizes bigger than usual. They are definitely loose, but not exactly falling off, so you probably wouldn’t run into any problems if you wanted to size up, even just one size. Though they’re listed as hip huggers, they do come up pretty high. There is a lot of extra space in the leg area. The material is good quality and comfortable. They need to be washed in cold water. I can understand why, but still I prefer washing underwear in hot water.
