I can’t say enough about these amazing gates and how effective they’ve been at keeping my elderly dog off of the stairs. I bought 2: one for the top and the other for the bottom, so we can effectively corral him.Installing the gates was fairly quick and it was straightforward. The wood-like paint is awesome and matches my 1930s home beautifully, so this was an added bonus. I had been worried about drilling into lathe and plaster for the gates and this tension install completely removed that problem, as no tools were required. The latches are sturdy and the gates can self-lock if the door is swinging closed behind me. I also like that the gates open/close in both directions. Living in a house with narrow passages, these gates were one of the narrowest options I could find (and of course they can expand), so I couldn’t be happier.It took a few days for my dog to get used to the gates but now he’s chill and doesn’t even try messing with them anymore. I only wish I’d gotten them earlier!

Love the height so I don't have to bend over at all to open. Grandbaby shakes and it doesn't budge. Easy to install with clever zip ties (don't cut those until after installation!).

This is one sturdy gate. Super easy to put together. Very strong. Closes automatically, and opening it is not awkward or difficult. With adapters that come with it, the gate can be placed at stairways or in doorways. Two width extensions—also included—give it valuable width versatility. By mistake I ordered the extra tall model, but that actually worked out for the best: no bending to open and close. Brilliant.

The gate went together nicely and works well. You have to push down on the top button pull up on the trigger a lift the gate to open. It takes time to get used to it but it is very secure.

Ordered gate to use on our deck stairway. Very well made, sturdy and easy to open, hinge pivots nicely. Install was easy, like that it is adjustable to span the opening. The black color matches the black deck railing and is weatherproof. Highly recommend.

I've had other gates in the past. This one works well, is easy to assemble and install. Stays put.

This is a great gate. My dog tore her ACL so I need to keep her confined to one room until hopefully it heals. I was using the standard tall baby gate but I constantly had to bend over to open it and then reposition it and then lock it in place again. Too much work and bending. This was very easy to install and can stay put until you no longer need it. I just push the gate open and it closes almost automatically with a little push. It will stay open if you open it a full 90 degrees. I’m thinking of getting another one for when I have to confine her to a different room.

Once you get it installed, it works great. The directions are decent, and they caution you to make sure you keep the zip ties on the gate while installing. What they do not tell you is that those zip ties need to be tight, and hold the gate close to the latch without any gaps - in other words, check to make sure the zip ties are tight on the upper part of the gate, and if not tighten them some more to bring the latch mechanism closed. If you do not do this, the gate wracks out of square and the gate will not latch properly to function.Also, it might seem counterintuitive to have the legs that tighten/extend into the wall stops loose in the gate holes, but it is necessary to allow for the bolt to move as out tighten down the nut and lock it into place.I would recommend finger tightening all 4 legs while checking for level across the top and vertically, then make leveling adjustments before using the wrench to tighten each bolt equally.

This is very well built, looks good and I have been using it as a dog gate for my husky without issues

Works great on standard front door. Fits in between the door and the sliding screen door we have. Seems like solid materials and good design.Quick and easy install that didn't require any special tools or knowledge.

So I installed it and all looks fine, But when the door shuts it doesn't lock. To lock it into place, you have to press down on the door. It locks at the bottom but not at the top. No matter how many times you fiddle with the tension screws on the sides, it doesn't fix the problem. They really do need to test this out before putting it out on the market because it's not 100% safe for kids if you want it to block stairs. I would not recommend this to block a child from stairs 😒😒

I bought this gate to stop my cunning dog from breaking into the kitchen. So far, so good. It's relatively easy to assemble, sturdy and tall enough for a medium sized dog not to jump over it.
