Fun, fast guessing what others might play
We played this together with 5 of my family - the sixth was being grumpy and didn't want to play. We had a TON of fun, as it's very reminiscent of one of our other most-favorite games, which is Go Nuts for Donuts. It has the same mechanic as that one of selecting a card value in secret, then revealing it together as a group at once. In this game, you get to see what everyone else has discarded already, though, and every round in which someone "loses" the match, that person gets to restart their card choices.By that, I mean, as you play, you get more limited in what card you can choose to lay down, thus probably increasing your chances of "getting bit".Instead of collecting points, the goal of the game is basically to not LOSE points. The one with the most limbs (points) left is the winner. It's funny, since it's all based on bathtub toys. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was popping the action figures' limbs on and off. The gameplay goes pretty quick on each round, and you're moving the figures back and forth, popping limbs off (and eventually on), and that winds up slowing things down a TINY bit. Not a big deal, though.

Glad it's been reprinted!
I first played this game many years ago. My brother bought it for his kids, and we played with my kids when we visited. At the time, all the kids were in the range of 6-9 years old. The game was a hit, not only with the kids, but I appreciated that there was actually some strategy involved in the choices you make.Sadly, the game went out of print before I could get my own copy, so I was excited to see Greater Than Games has brought it back into print. The game is still great, but I don't love this edition as much as the previous one. The artwork is VERY cutesy, so much so that I fear adults or older kids (who should still enjoy playing it) would be turned off by the childish art style. The previous edition also had a better design for the divers. During the game, whenever your diver gets bit, they lose an arm or a leg. In the previous edition, the divers looked a little blocky, like Lego people. As a result, it was really clear how the arms and legs were meant to snap off and on. In this new edition, the joints are less visible, and it requires more force to snap the pieces off and on.Even though I think the previous edition had some advantages, it's still great to have this game back in print. It's a great choice for families with kids about 6-10 years old. The kids will enjoy it, and the adults will find it more fun than most kids' games.

Fairly basic bluffing/second-guessing game, with charming components and nice intensity
This game doesn't do anything especially novel, rules wise, but it brings together a nice combination of play experience, theme, and components to make for a good experience with people that are willing to get into it a bit.The little shark and the divers with the limbs that you pull off as they're eaten by the shark -- that's just a great concept. Making the theme be "bath toys" of course has the advantage of being much less conceptually gruesome, while still providing the little frisson of limbly detachment. The arms and legs come off and go on easy enough. You do need people to get into the idea of bluffing and getting inside each others' heads, but if they do, it's a good rollicking experience of trying not to end up as the one who gets dismembered and ultimately eaten. There's room for a fifth player, who plays as the shark, and has to choose which limb to eat, which involves predicting which diver it'll be in position to chomp. We haven't tried that variant yet, but it's nice to have it available, and it seems like it might be a fun addition.

Fun game, a little hard to learn and strategize but high quality!
This game is very high quality. The pieces and cards are well made and the whole set fits in a compact box which I appreciate. It would be very easy to travel with! The game play takes some getting used to. There are several variations of the game but I found it challenging to play with two players. I played a few rounds with my 10 year old before I got the rules and hang of it. I then played a few rounds with my husband to test it further. My issue with the game is that it isn't great for 2 players although it can be played as such. But doing so requires that the two players each play two scuba divers which changes the strategy in a strange way. Also, the variation of the game that involves the shark cards requires at least 3 players but ideally more as well. If you're planning to get this game for 3+ players I highly recommend. I don't think it is worth it if it will be primarily played by just two people. However! It is a very high quality game with complex strategy. The age rating is accurate. It travels and stores compactly and the pieces are all excellent quality. Instructions are very thorough and clear. I really liked it, can't wait to try playing with more than 2 players!

Instant family favorite
This is a fantastic game that has obviously had a lot of loved poured into it by Greater Than Games! This version looks AWESOME with high quality plastic pieces that really add to the fun factor in a huge way. Ripping apart those poor little divers when they inevitably Get Bit is incredibly satisfying. We found this game to be a delight playing with kids as young as 4 (though our 4 year old needed a card stand to play). It's quick and lends itself to a ton of laughter. It is fast enough that the player elimination does not feel too punishing, and the sudden chompchomp of the shark to end the game when it comes down to 2 is always a hoot. I also love that there are multiple ways to play the game, too! With the Memory game, you can play with kids even younger! Then, as a bonus on top of ALL that, it only takes up a teensy tinsy amount of shelf space. This is an awesome game that I easily recommend to EVERYONE.
