Great docking station
I have to use a Microsoft docking station on my Surface Pro 6 computer because of the port connector on the computer not being a standard USB or USB - C connector. However, that hub does not give me enough USB ports or an SD card slot. So I daisy chain the QgeeM docking station to the Microsoft Docking station and I have plenty of ports now! This configuration works great for using multiple monitors on the Surface Pro. The quality of the QgeeM docking station seems very good. I've used mine for a few months now and have found the ports to be solid even with repeated cable insertion/extraction. It works great for my purposes!

Simple low-end solution to limited port space that gets the job done.
For the overall price of this docking station, I really can't complain about a single thing. The exterior is made of metal, allowing it to withstand an accidental drop or two. I have a different docking station that cost roughly 10 times the price of this one, and its thin, delicate plastic. The plastic one does however contain more ports overall, and has been able to maintain functionality as an individual unit while allocating power to the connected components efficiently. What this QGeemM USB hub does better than my expensive docking station is maintain a more stable, almost room temperature, presumably due to its metallic exterior. This is probably the most surprising aspect, as I mainly work with most if not all ports filled up at a given time. I like like that the design is slim, almost resembling a slightly oversized flash drive. The overall number of ports is rather limited as you will see in the listing photo's, with an entire side dedicated solely to USB ports (two USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0). It contains only one HDMI port, so if you require more than two monitors, and/or, there are no spare display ports on your laptop to use, that would probably a limiting factor in deciding to select this.If you laptop is modern than it is probably powered through a USB-C connection. Luckily the station contains a power input port, allowing you to free up an extra port on your physical machine. (Pro tip: you can charge your laptop and thus all the components through this port, specifically if you plug the docking station into the port you would normally charge from.).What mattered the most to me when deciding to purchase this was simple: I wanted my second monitor and I wanted an Ethernet connection. One drawback is that there is only one type-c port on the station itself, but I don't perceive this as a drawback, as modern laptops are usually doing away with all ports that are not USB. This makes having have the SD/Memory card slots another plus.So in conclusion I would definitely recommend this item. If you can assess that it contains all the ports you require, I promise you it's safe to stop looking and just add this to your cart. If these ports are sufficient then it's not even necessary to contemplate dropping hundreds of dollars on a name brand docking station. This one is durable, it's power efficient, and it doesn't produce latency in any of your peripherals or network connections. This indicates that the hardware components are of quality, and the metal exterior is only going to better protect them from accidental damage that could occur in the future.Deciding whether to opt for the lesser priced hardware is always anxiety-inducing for me. But as I have been using this every day for a week, I could perceive no difference in performance than my 150$ docking station purchased through the manufacturer. If you're on a budget, you will get a lot of value from this product. If you aren't on one, and the number of ports is enough for you, definitely just buy this and put the money you saved toward upgrading a different component of your machine. The value of this docking station is easily worth twice what it is currently going for.

Works great for travel. Less great for leaving at home.
Nice and compact with all the ports I need. It has one weird quirk: if you leave the charger plugged in to the USB-C PD port and disconnect it from the computer then reconnect it to the computer, it will not be recognized until you unplug the charger from the PD port. It seems like it doesn't do the USB initialization unless it looses power. This doesn't matter if you disconnect it and put it away every time, but if you want to leave it plugged in on the desk you have to do this little dance when you come back.

great hub at an amazing price!
This awesome USB-C hub delivers 110%! It's extremely hard to find one that is functional - including for use with extended monitors, which is essential for my job, and pass-through charging which for some reason is hit or miss, even with more expensive hubs. This one is plug-and-play and has enough USB-A and USB-C ports to round out the functionality, but to extend it further, most monitors have a couple of USB ports that can be used for peripherals (BT mouse dongle, LED light strip) when the monitor is connected to the hub via DisplayPort. I tested it with two different setups, one a Dell laptop & HP monitor, the other an old-ish HP Spectra laptop and (different) HP monitor. The cherry on top is the price - a huge steal, and I would expect it to go up as the number of reviews increases, so get one now before that happens!
