Was hoping for a more in-depth map. Even many of my local ones are not on it. So assume others around the country are also missing.

Pure genius! A simple paper UK planner map. Not the kind you should use for local exploration, but it does everything tech can't do. Grab a glass of wine and snuggle down for the evening with thus broadsheet map for planning long summer tourer rides. It really is a work of genius; two sides covering the whole of the UK with all the big uncycleable roads and motorways removed, and all the pleasant minor and off-road cycling routes, in. It makes planning much easier. Also perfect if you don't plan to cycle that far, but catch trains between the more pleasant, for example, forest routes etc. I love this map.

As this is a map of the entire of the British Isles there isn't a huge amount of detail but that's not the point of it. You can use this to plan your trip in the initial stages before refining it with larger scale maps of the area you will actually cover. Useful for letting you know what routes are available around the country and ideal as a starting part even for a non-touring holiday if you want to take a bike along with you.

Good for planning UK tours. I use it with Sustrans pocket sized maps which have more local detail.
