A very premium keyboard for a reasonable and good price
I ordered this keyboard after hearing about how critically acclaimed it was for being such a high quality keyboard at a much lower price point compared to other keyboards. The CNC aluminum chassis contributes well to the build quality and the overall construction of the keyboard. The acoustics and sound of the keycaps are nice and they provide a smooth and elegant typing experience. Shipping did take some time but if you're patient you will be rewarded. Excellent keyboard for the price, I'd highly recommend!

Maybe the overall best custom keyboard available at this price point?
Purchased the pro in e-white. The other models are more reasonably priced, but I prefer the textured back plate.Build quality feels really nice. The aluminum doesn't feel cheap and the e-coating was almost perfect (1 small imperfection, not a big deal). Case is perfectly balanced with no wobble and has hidden screw design so looks very clean. The e-white isn't really white, but more of a cream. Similar to the color of some retro keyboards, but not cheap looking... Other than the little coating chip I have 0 issues with the color coating. The jwk wob linears that come pre installed perform very well. The factory lube is great and they sound fantastic. More stem wobble than most high end switches in 2024, but it isnt bad. They aren't particularly special in any way, but they are really good. Some switches you rip off a board and throw away, these aren't those switches. The keycaps are pretty standard, and sound ok. They are a little thin but it is not a real problem. High quality aftermarket keycaps did not seem to change the sound of the jwk switches enough to make it worth the cost to upgrade. The pro comes with a nice looking FR4 plate, though you probably won't see it much. And it has extensive flex cutting all over, but you probably won't notice when typing...*the other models have a PC plate(I think?)This board is very rigid because of the various dampening layers inside and lack of "high end" gasket mounting. While there is a tiny bit of flex, it isn't really noticeable while typing. The gaskets are fine, there is no bounce while typing like you'd get with leaf springs. The foam sandwich is packed so thick there isnt much room for movement. The gaskets in the rainy serve more to try and isolate the case from the rest of the assembly for a better sound. The stabilizers are plate mount, but rock solid. Very impressed at the quality and performance of the included stabilizers. While the housings are snug in the plate, and the stabs function well, the factory lube was extremely excessive (Or sloppy? The stab stems werent overlubed...). It was spread all around the stab housing and seeped down from the plate on to the pcb.Provided the board checks out I plan on doing a couple mods, so the stab lube problems are not an issue for me, it could be an annoyance for others. My main issue with this board is an annoyingly placed on/off switch under the caps lock key, which may be a bonus for some people? The wireless dongle also comes loose in an accessory bag, and has no storage area in the board. One more issue is that while it supports via, there is no qmk support. With regards to the performance, the 2.4 is quite good. Same with wired. Surprisingly this board was found to have very good latency despite only being 500hz polling rate.If curious, check youtube for rainy75 latency tests. This keyboard has lower latency than many popular 1000hz custom keyboards. This isn't a gaming keyboard, but it works well enough as one.IT WORKS! Time to mod...The rainy is super easy to take apart, the screws are hex which is amazing. The batteries are easy enough to replace should you ever need to. And there is more sound dampening than any one keyboard needs.Did not encounter any major issues tearing this down, though with all the layers it is a little time consuming. Thankfully the issue with the factory lube didn't cause any serious problems, it just made a mess.. Really, it's everywhere... On the back of the pcb, between the dampening layers. Ugh what a mess...Force break mod and teflon/poron stabilizer pads do basically nothing to the sound profile of the base board. With the foam removed the keyboard sounds better than expected and the case sound isn't too high pitched (with force break/teflon stab pads). The flex without foam is weird and uneven due to the amount of cuts in the pcb and plate. Could apply UHMW tape on the flex cuts to mitigate some of it easily enough if set on no foam. For stabilizers tx ap 1.2mm screw-in fit perfect and work great. Probably not worth the upgrade as the plate mount stabilizers were really good. The stock stabs in the fr4 plate also produce a deeper sound than the pcb mounted tx stabs. This probably holds true for the pc plate as well. There is a possibility that the tolerances of certain stabilizers like tx ap might not play nice if running the rainy all flexy without foam. There isnt a lot of wiggle room in some new stabs. With as much uneven area flex as a foamless rainy has, there could be problems.Tried a few different linear switches with the rainy. Because of the way the keyboard is set up they all wind up sharing a very similar pleasant base sound. If you want to notice a little more pillow/flex with the stock foam setup try higher weight switches.TLDR:Does almost everything extremely well, but nothing perfect. Small issues can be found but no deal breakers for the price. Mods/upgrades not required to sound/feel good.

What an amazing keyboard for the price
Light switches, beautiful casing with substantial heft, the colorway is well designed, and it really does sound like rain drops. High recommend!

Best Keyboard I've Ever Used
I am relatively new to the custom mechanical keyboard hobby and this was the best keyboard I've ever used. Very solidly built. Heavy. Has a solid premium feel to it. I have the e-white Pro version and the extra battery life is nice to have. Replaced the keycaps for a PBT SA profile keycaps and sounds satisfyingly "thocky". QMK/VIA compatibility is a major plus. Pricing isn't very competitive since the ND75 from Chillkey can be purchased from various vendors in Canada for significantly less as a fully built keyboard but they are typically group buys so having this available at Amazon justifies some additional premium amount IMO (I hate group buys).
