It arrived on time , needed to make the heater work , needs replacing about every 12 months

The failed link that this replaces had a cranked wire on one side to align it with the two terminals into which it is screwed, so I had to carefully use two pairs of pointed pliers to introduce the crank to one arm and to avoid transmitting a strain to the wire where it joins the body of the fuse (not difficult, but sensible precaution). Some website sellers show such parts as including the crank. Although this is titled as a Creda genuine part, the packaging suggests it may be a generic part which has been labelled up as in the title. It is possible that Creda may have changed to using this part and cranking at the time of assembly (not that they seem to make this model of heater any longer). Be sure to locate fully into the terminals so the body of the link is not at risk of touching the body/cover of the heater (electric shock risk). When replacing a link, bear in mind that something caused the original link to melt/overheat: in my case I was using the heater continuously for the first time in many years and had it turned up to full loading and minimum release, which may have caused the overheating. The new fuse has been fine with the (backgroound) heater set to about 60% loading and maximum release (and now turned off until next winter).
