Night Break (Young Sherlock Holmes) Paperback – April 7, 2016

I like the ways this series gives us deeper insight into the adult character. This one follows much darker, formative experiences, some of them very moving. I look forward to the next installment.

This book was great. I love the hints and references/back stories to how Sherlock Holmes became who he is when we are introduced to him by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. This was not the best book in the series however. Do not read them out of order, it will spoil LOTS of details from earlier books. I saw the author said the decision to wrote another was not in his hands. I hope he will get to. I would like to see where he takes the story next, especially to tie up some loose ends between thia story and the 30-something yr old Sherlock to whom we are accustomed.

This is a very engaging and enthralling series for teens. My daughter who is choosy about her books loved the series and can't wait for more books. I would recommend giving this series a try - especially if you have a reader who you just can't seem to find the right books to engage them.

I really hope there is some big influential Hollywood type planning to create a well conceived, well written and intelligent series of films that closely follow Mr. Lane's Holmes narratives. I have seldom come across a film series based upon a novel that was better than the original written work. These novels are fast paced and well written, easy to follow, yet very descriptive. I'd look forward to watching them on the screen.

vivid descriptions of characters and places without slowing down the action.

This is a book that is hard to put down. I started reading this series after I found it at the library. Unfortunately my library didn't have all the books in the series. Thankfully, I found the three other books I needed here on Amazon. If you want an edge of your seat read, this book is for you!

I hope Mr. Lane continues his series. I enjoyed the books and they would make a great gift. The only problem, the first five books are on kindle, the next two I had to order in paperback and book 8 is on kindle.

Wish Lane would write faster - I am through the entire series and am hungry for more - keep checking back to see if there is a new book coming out.

The continuing connection with characters and the building of old Sherlocks eccentric behaviours and abilities by the unusual people he meets and the circumstances within which they occur have been expertly presented; a must read.

I love these Young Sherlock books they are a delight. I really hope that Andrew Lane can carry on the series for a very long time.

Lane's portrayal of the maturing Holmes is superb. Once again a marvelous tale, well written and holds you from start to finish. Hope there are more.
