Stone Cold (Young Sherlock Holmes)

Andrew Lane has written a phenomenal series! I am always wary of people who have written about a part of Sherlock Holmes' life that was not detailed by the original author, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. But with Lane's books, it's obvious that he has taken great pains to preserve the details that ACD did give & enhance them. The mysteries are detailed, and intricate & there's a lot of intense action & fantastic adventure! The character are fantastically written &, in these books, you can see plausible explanations for how Sherlock & Mycroft became the men they were in the original works! I have read the whole series & it is wonderful! Try it! You'll love it! Start with Death Cloud & read them in order or details from previous books will be ruined!

This is a very engaging and enthralling series for teens. My daughter who is choosy about her books loved the series and can't wait for more books. I would recommend giving this series a try - especially if you have a reader who you just can't seem to find the right books to engage them.

ordered the last 2 books in this series. got this one early. soon i will have all and be ready to re read.

Andrew Lane's Young Sherlock books are great! This book and and Night Break were not published in the US so they are hard to come by. Glad I could track them down on Amazon.

wonderful series for teen and pre teen boy

My son loves the series and has read them all. He's waiting for the next release.

I know these books are for juvenile readers but I really enjoy the whole series and I hope the author continues with it. I cannot wait for my grandchildren to reach an age where they would enjoy it as well.

I'm still reading it but it arrived in good shape and so far I love it as much as I did the rest of the series.

Even though this is the seventh book it does not disappoint. As an adult I enjoyed reading this and I an sure many teenagers would as well. Each of the series has been a continuation of the last but each has been different and could have been read as a stand alone book. Well done to the author!

I have always believed any 10-12 yrs. old should read a copy of Sherlock book. This copy is highly recommended as myself an adult and my pupils who received each a copy of the book enjoyed reading it.

I thought the book was really good like the rest of the series. It is packed with adventure and action and also some factual bits as well. I gave it 5 stars because of how gripping it was.

Bought this for my son who’s 11 and has been reading the series . He loves it took it on holiday day and had him gripped.

This story relates to me as I had just finished university when I read it. It also showed a character who would later appear in Sherlock's life in the story entitled the Musgrave Ritual.
