KRAUS Boden Kitchen Soap and Lotion Dispenser in Matte Black, KSD-53MB

It’s a nice looking soap dispenser, but it doesn’t work as well as it looks. When I push down for soap, it is extremely slow to return to the upright position. As it slooowly raises back up, soap dribbles out. I used the soap bottle it came with, and also tried a long hose down into a jug of soap. I had heard that if the little bottles are too tight, it can cause some issues due to pressures and stuff. Anyway, that’s why I tried the two methods. There wasn’t a difference with either method, and the spring mechanism is locked for no access. I would replace the spring with a stronger one, if I could.Very disappointing that it doesn’t work properly. Soap is continually wasted by each pump, unless you keep your hand, or sponge, under the nozzle for 10 extra seconds each time. Doesn’t sound like a big compromise, but try it sometime. Every time you wash your hands, or want to soap your sponge, hold it there and count out ten seconds. EVERY TIME. Gets old quick.Time for a different brand.

Before buying, I read many reviews on this dispenser about soap clogging. We decided to keep this Kraus despite the reviews and ordering a few other black dispensers because 1) we liked the spout shape 2) it matched our Kraus sink 3) we wanted black and 4) it was a terrific price. It was installed in Aug 2019 as part of our kitchen reno but I waited until after 7 months of use to write a review to see how it stood up to the test of time & use. We are a family of 4, including 2 teenagers. We home cook so the kitchen is in high use. We use the Costco brand of liquid dish soap to refill. And....IT DOES NOT CLOG and it works perfectly well. If your soap is clogging, try another brand. But for the look, materials, functionality, and price, this dispenser is PERFECT.

This is the biggest rip off! Save your money. The dispenser drips soap after it’s dispensed leaving constant soap streaks and puddles of soap in my sink. It isn’t even worth one star. For $30, I thought I was getting a good dispenser for my new granite counter and stainless steel sink. I will be buying something else. The only decent thing about it is that it is easy to fill from the top, but who wants soap to drip constantly?

I was happy to find this Kraus soap dispenser to match my new American Standard faucet. I am familiar with Kraus products and I have several bathroom fixtures manufactured by them. The soap dispenser is heavy made and the pump is all metal (see photo). The finish is excellent and the dispenser is long enough to reach out into our kitchen sink. It is much better than the one that it replaced. The Matte Black finish matches my new faucet perfect!

We’ve had this installed for just over a year now. The black finish has chipped off in multiple spots and it looks horrible. I understand this isn’t an incredibly expensive item, but there’s not much to it, so for the price I’d think we’d get more than a year from it— especially for something that gets built in to expensive countertops!

Installed easy and looked great. Gradually got harder and harder to dispense soap as the spring loaded plunger started sticking and eventually would not return to the top position without pulling it up. And at $32, this was not exactly cheap. I'm back in the market for a replacement so my advice is to not make the same mistake I did buying this one.

Pro: longer necked spout than most, reaches well into sink for proper distribution over dirty dishes. Blends very well with black composite sink.

The Faucet I bought did not have dispencers with them I kept looking to see what could match these camethe closest . these are just great. I have been using them ( have 2) for about 6 weeks now.

Extremely disappointed. The pump ain't pumping anymore after 5 months" I cannot even replace it. Next time I will go to Home Depot!
