NOT super bulky
I was concerned this was going to be too huge and heavy to bother with on the beach.NO WORRIES. It truly is portable, with the option to carry by handle, or a shoulder strap. I carried it back and forth to the beach(down from the condo and across the street), at least three times this trip. No sweat. It is large, but not heavy. Sets up so quickly! If you’re nervous about looking ridiculous in front of everyone on the beach, don’t be, it goes up in a flash. Taking it down is not bad either, just have to take a second and follow the path of least resistance. The head shade is amazing and holds up against the wind! When everyone else’s umbrella is tumbling down the beach, your beautiful face with still be shaded. My husband said he was embarrassed to be seen with me because of how extra this chair is. I do not care. It is amazing and quite possibly has made it onto my list of top 10 purchases I’ve ever made for myself.Do the thing y'all. Buy the chair.

A pretty good chair for the price
Overall, I like this tanning chair. The materials seems durable, and it was easy to put together. I am giving it four stars because for the prone positioning, The arm holes don't line up well with the level that I need them to be. This is putting pressure on the top of my shoulders because my arms can't go through the holes correctly while my face is down. The umbrella portion is a little cantankerous at times, but serves a good purpose. The cloth on the umbrella is a little bit thin, so some sunlight actually gets through. I drop my T-shirt across the top to block the sun completely. I don't find much use for the two pieces that hang down from the umbrella, I magnet them together on top of the sunshade. I do like that there are little pockets on the inside of the sunshade to hold my phone or glasses. The chair is lightweight enough that it is easy to move. Overall, I like the chair for the price that I paid.

It's... ok
I had high hopes for the comfort level of this chair, I'm 5'8" and "thick"; most of these chairs don't accommodate anything over 5'2" and 120#.The size is fine, it's wide enough and (once you ensure you have all the feet set correctly) feels sturdy enough. Be sure to check the feet (legs?). I thought I had it set but it nearly dropped from under me b/c it wasn't *exactly* right. The arm hole thing seems like a good idea but felt too wide for my body's reach so the book I had underneath was harder to reach than expected and it felt awkward.Related was the distance between my eyes (chair) & my reading material (deck), I think the description mentions that and I never thought about what it meant. If you're considering this for that purpose, check how far you hold what you're reading to be sure it won't be too close (like it was for me) or too far to see.The face holder was disappointing. As mentioned, I'm not a small person but my face went right through the hole and wasn't at all supported. Kinda sweaty, too. The pillows weren't as comfortable or adjustable as I'd expected. The "crescent shade" seemed like a nice touch but it wasn't easy to attach, or to adjust once you'd attached it. The back flaps have a small magnet, I guess to try & hold them together, but the whole thing flapped open over my head at the first good breeze. Added to the fact you need to switch your seat top to bottom to use the chair as a "sit up" lounge, the shade didn't seem worth the effort.I mean don't get me wrong: it's a decent chair, it's solid, nice canvas material (maybe Sunbrella?). The color is very cute by the pool and if you want a decent lounge chair, just get one without all the unnecessary and/or not especially functional bells & whistles. Especially for the price, just sayin'.

Best portable lounge chair
Best portable lounge chair. I love just about everything on this chair, from the way the chair snaps into the place you want it, the clips to carry the chair while closed, and the pockets to put small items and the cup holder. Now I am mostly outside reading when I am sun bathing so the fact that I could keep reading while laying face down is fantastic and it help relieve pressure points on my back. I have not tried the sun shade, I have it if I need it. It even has the lumbar pillow. Wish I would have had one 20 years ago.
