Early bond films were simply the best.

OK I've read all the books four times over my lifetime. I love the books. I'm just starting to read them again. But I've never really watched the films. I've caught bits here and there. Usually at Xmas or on a bank holiday in between other things.So, I have decided to take advantage of the easy availability these days of films and start to watch some Bond.Hence, start at the beginning with this one 'Dr No'.I have to say I really enjoyed it. It's not overly long. It's got the man Sean Connery (Rest in Peace). It's got Ursula Andress. It's got some iconic back drops of old Jamaica.Whatever, it entertained me from start to finish. Onto 'From Russia with Love'.

Like most Bond fans I already have all 20 films on DVD and so when I saw that they were being re-released in the Ultinmate collection what I wanted to know was not is this a great film (It is ) but was the new versions worth getting. I ordered Dr no as being the oldest of the Bonds I thought it had most potential to be improved. I watched the first 15 minutes of my current Dr No DVD and spotted 2 very obvious marks on the film. I then watched the same amount of the new release and found that both marks had been removed.Apart from this obvious difference the film as a whole looked cleaner and fresher than the previous version and althought I don't have a surround sound system I did notice a marked improvement in the sound quality. I am impressed with the overall improvement in the film quality and I am planning to purchase more of the early Bonds, how much of a difference this clean up will make to the more recent films I can't say.

The first James Bond movie, starring Sean Connery,the best Bond!

Mon tout premier des James Bonds. Je voulais me bâtir la collection des James Bonds en film individuelle au lieu d'avoir le boitier de collection complet et j'avais peurs de voir la qualité d'un vieux film dans une écran de télévision d'aujourd'hui. Je ne l'ai pas regretter et j'ai été très surpris de la qualité de l'image et le son pour un film qui date, très très content et je vais continuer ma collection des James Bond en Blu-Ray. L'avantage du Blu-Ray est qu'on ne ce fait pas avoir avec les zone comme un DVD. Il fonctionnera dans tout les lecteurs peu importe de où qu'ils viennent.

Todo, T-O-D-O, estuvo bien.
