LG 65QNED87T6B 65inch QNED 4K Ultra HD Smart TV, Model 2024
When it comes to purchasing a new television, discerning buyers often gravitate towards brands they trust. For me, Sony, LG, and Samsung have always stood out as the top-tier options. Today, we'll delve into a comprehensive review of the LG 65QNED87T6B TV, examining its features, performance, and overall value. Design and Build Quality The LG 65QNED87T6B boasts a sleek and modern design, with thin bezels that provide an immersive viewing experience. The TV's build quality feels premium, with a sturdy stand that offers good support. It's a stylish addition to any living room, blending seamlessly with various dรฉcor styles. Display Technology At the heart of the 65QNED87T6B is LG's QNED technology, which combines Quantum Dot and NanoCell technologies. This results in a vibrant color palette and enhanced contrast. The 4K resolution ensures crisp and detailed images, making it perfect for watching movies, sports, and playing video games. The TV also features Full Array Dimming Pro, which provides deeper blacks and more precise lighting control. This enhances the viewing experience, especially in dark scenes, by delivering better contrast and reducing halo effects around bright objects. Picture Quality One of the standout features of the LG 65QNED87T6B is its exceptional picture quality. The combination of Quantum Dot and NanoCell technology produces vivid colors and excellent brightness levels. HDR performance is top-notch, supporting HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision, which ensures content looks its best, with improved detail and color accuracy. The TV's upscaling capabilities are also impressive, making lower resolution content look significantly better. This is particularly useful for watching older movies or TV shows. Smart Features and Interface The LG 65QNED87T6B runs on the latest version of LG's webOS, which is user-friendly and intuitive. The Magic Remote, with its point-and-click functionality, makes navigation a breeze. The TV also supports voice control through Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, providing hands-free convenience. Streaming options are abundant, with support for popular apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and more. The TV also has built-in support for Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit, making it easy to integrate with other Apple devices. Sound Quality While the LG 65QNED87T6B excels in picture quality, its sound performance is adequate but not exceptional. The built-in speakers provide clear dialogue and decent volume, but they lack the depth and bass that a dedicated soundbar or home theater system can provide. For an optimal audio experience, pairing the TV with an external sound system is recommended. Gaming Performance For gamers, the LG 65QNED87T6B is a solid choice. It supports HDMI 2.1, which enables 4K gaming at 120Hz, and features Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM). These features ensure smooth and responsive gameplay, reducing input lag and screen tearing. Connectivity The TV comes with a comprehensive array of ports, including four HDMI 2.1 ports, three USB ports, an Ethernet port, and optical audio out. Wireless connectivity options include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, making it easy to connect a variety of devices. Conclusion The LG 65QNED87T6B is an outstanding television that lives up to the high standards set by LG. Its combination of advanced display technology, smart features, and gaming capabilities make it a versatile choice for a wide range of users. While its sound quality may not be the best out-of-the-box, this minor shortcoming can be easily remedied with an external sound system. For those who, like me, trust only the best brandsโSony, LG, and Samsungโthe LG 65QNED87T6B is a worthy contender. It offers a balanced mix of performance, features, and value, making it a top choice in its category.

AMAZING
Love this LG 65QNED87T6B telly. 4k HDR is Amazing, just turn the brightness of the panels down on settings a d it'll pop. I got this to replace my 55 LG 4k tv that I had for 8 years. Was good but when watching dark scenes it had light pollution blooming from the sides of the tv, lighting up the screen finding it hard to see the image. This 65 inch is massive! I honestly thought it was too big for a week or two. It's not once you get used to it and the dark scenes are amazing. Blacks are nice, not as good as a Oled obviously but I didn't want to worry about burn in issues with getting that particular tv. So this is the next best thing. I'd say the 2nd best tv on the market in 2025. I've done my research and spec checking. Gaming on ps5 is great. Has gaming option and you can see if its running at 60hz or 120hz. This model does run at 120hz. This is why I wrote the modle down at top of my review. They sell two slightly different models and the other cheaper version is 60hz. Just to let everyone know that. Remember every streaming app and channel settings will need changing if you like the image a certain way. You can apply to all inputs or change it individually like i did. Got a filmmaker mode for films and also a true motion which I never liked on my old tv but this new 65 inch is loads better, it's got Trumotion cinematic movement so I'd suggest everyone to try it for a more real look mixed with smoother movement. Watched Dark Knight on it first night in 4k and it was Amazing, then Dune part one and Dune Part 2 4k. I find myself saying to my wife that the quality of the picture is so good. She laughs but agrees. I love film and tv series so to me it's worth it. Watching Ozarks on Netflix, that looks brilliant. Great show, I actually gave up on it when it came out cause of the dark scenes been too hard to see but this new telly is perfect.

Amazing, crisp visuals
My very first LG TV and the best TV I have ever owned! The colours, depth, details, contrast and everything are just stunning, and woth a 120hz max framerate, HDR and built-in gaming mode for consoles and gaming PCs I found this more of a bargain than any other TV. The ONLY thing that annoys me slightly about it is the confirmation button on the remote, which is also a slider wheel for when using the remote as a mouse/pointer. Just note that, if you accidentally move the wheel any when you're meaning to press "confirm", you'll probably accidentally bring up the mouse cursor, which can be irritating when it interrupts selection. Other than that, perfect.

Awesome tv.
Arrived onetime , a little bit of setting up and away we go. I can't fault this tv in any way, picture is awesome and although I don't have a sound bar I found the sound perfectly adequate as is. Game optimiser is great, I would certainly recommend this tv.

Great to let down by sound quality
Itโs a great to but not quite brilliant. let down by terrible speakers. I had to dig out an old soundbar just to watch it and Iโm not a sound snob. I watched vanilla using my old Toshiba. No speakers or soundbar and it was great. LG has the functionality I wanted, you can get pretty much any and all apps on the tv (I especially wanted the VIKI and IQIYI apps) and the picture is great but let down by tinny speakers.

Give it time.
happy with the purchase, good value for this size and spec. Smart TV. I'll say something about the picture quality. After initial set up I made a few changes to the default settings, guided by online advise. I was never happy with the image quality , particularly the colour, but also sharpness. I tried a few other settings. It was okay, but not brilliant. However over the last few weeks it has improved all by itself, as if it needed to settle in. Now very happy with the quality of the picture and colour etc. So maybe just give it time.
