They are very stiff when you first use them but the gel eventually softens up making them easy to put on and take off. I have long toes so I wish they would make these with deeper separators so they won't dig in between the toe joint. Bulky product but they work so much better than yoga toes and have a much better price point. Knocked off one star for the small diameter short depth of the separators

Only one fits. They were both for the right foot. That's very annoying for me. I have tried every which way but Sunday to make them work, and it doesn't work. Don't have time to send them back. Wish people could get things right the first time around.

I caution customers. I had to wear a cast on my left foot and calf for six months. Because of my toes constantly clenching at the foot part of the cast as I walked around my second toe grew crooked. When I got the cast off the toe turned into (I guess you call it) a hammer toe or crooked. I bought this toe straightener and tried it as directed for three months. Not only did it not work but my foot structure had adjusted to my crooked toe so when I tried to change my foot, it 'got mad' and my my whole foot hurt with sharp stabbing pains in the arch area. I discontinued the toe straightner and went back to letting my foot do what it wanted to do. My toe is crooked but so be it. I will leave such medical devices that could change my gait to professionals. P.S. I am a runner and until I discontinued the use of this, I could not run without discomfort. Now I can.

BACKGROUND: I got these after 30 years of suffering in poor fitting shoes due to really large, wide feet. All my toes are curled under, the littlest two severely to the point the pinkie toe is almost curled under and into the next toe over. I've never had pain from it but developed hip and knee problems as a runner. Recovering from that, I started doing yoga and have had many instructors comment that my foot posture frequently is throwing off my alignment. I started doing research if there was help to correct my toes and found these.EXPERIENCE WITH PRODUCT: I just got these two days ago and the first time I put them on, they were PAINFUL. Again, i do have large wide feet (W 10.5 EE). My toes felt compressed beyond their limit. Instructions said to leave them on 10 minutes but I was not convinced I could tolerate that much. I toughed it out but then was AMAZED after taking them off how great and balanced my whole foot felt. Doing yoga, I could stand in mountain pose and feel contact with the ground in all my toes and all points of my foot for the first time. That convinced me to not throw it out as I'd considered after how painful it was at first.This is definitely not something I'd walk around the house in but I've done a few more short sessions with these on, still painful but the pain is lessening each time and I can feel positive results after each time.I am not sure if pain is always to be expected but a product like this for large/wide feet would be appreciated if the squeezing pain from using it is not normal. The product itself says expect some discomfort but does not say what size feet it was made to fit.

Not sure if it is going to get rid of my bunions but it does seem to help relieve my toes when they are tired. I did make the mistake in doing some yoga in them. My back hurt the next day. Wont do that again.

I highly recommend SmartToes for anyone who is on their feet all day or who just can't give up those killer heels! Very painful to wear, but I do like the result. To bad me and pain don't go hand and hand.

These are virtually impossible to put on (even with help) - the separators are too wide for my narrow toes and feet and the gel material does not slide easily. It's too late to return them, but what a waste of money! I've just ordered the open-top yoga toes in hopes of an easier fit.
