Good price for what it offers
Using this to record Nintendo Switch gameplay is pretty easy, though the included instruction for enabling audio recording in OBS should be specified (I've attached a screenshot of how to do so as part of this review). The recording I get is a steady 1080p60FPS and I have no complain with the quality recorded. With its mostly plug-&-play nature, no driver installation is needed for Windows 10/11, this is a great for a beginner streaming/recording setup with OBS. Well priced too at £13.4 effective at time of review (£16 listed with 10% off voucher).

Decent budget capture card
With no HDMI output this is the kind of device that you would capture with and game direclty with from the preview window in OBS if you are using it for gaming.Where I find this is a best used device is as a camera capture device instead of using the well know alternative.Colours as reasonable and sharpness is pretty fiar but a little on the soft side.Compact and low latency, and the built in flex actually is quite welcome as it is able to sit a little more neatly with the cable bundle coming out of the rear of the PC than devices that stick directly out of the USB port. Its not quite as good as a more expensive device sure, but at 1/6th the price, it does a pretty good job and doesnt require the bloat of extra software, simply working as a USB capture device in OBS.

A great device.
I use mine with OBS Studio on Windows 11. It works perfectly with no dropped frames. Note that this dongle does not offer an HDMI pass-through function so you will have to rely on the recording software’s preview to see what you’re recording.A very capable, and tiny, capture card.

A cheap way to get an HDMI source into OBS
In a nutshell:Things I liked:+ It worked seamlessly with OBS and had good compatibility with a range of sources.+ The picture quality was perfectly acceptable for 1080p.+ Great value at around £16.Things I didn't like:- There are a few compromises - no passthrough and basic functionality being the main twoDo I recommend it?As a basic capture card, absolutely. It's a cheap way to get an HDMI source into OBS. if you want anything but basic features, you're going to have to go for a more expensive unit though.

Paired up with OBS studio this is an excellent way to get an extremely cheap capture solution
I tried this out with OBS studio and it worked perfectly without issue. I tried with both the USB-C and USB3 jacks and there was no observable difference between them. Paired up with OBS studio this is an excellent way to get an extremely cheap capture solution. Quite happy with it and would recommend.

Good quality capture
Very easy to plug and play into the USB port and good quality capture at this pricing level. Device was easily recognised by my computer for 1080p capture. Represents excellent vlaue for money in my opinion.

Worth considering as a budget beginners card.
I am reviewing this hardware not the software that I chose to run it with yet the two are difficult to separate. It feels like good quality, the cables are smooth and robust, tolerances are good when I plug things in the slide and engage well and all three work.My only comparison is a much more expensive one, this has more delay and is not as good visually. To be fair looking at the specs on the advert I think it is OK, it is not a "professional" standard item it is a budget card and with that in mind it does its job.I can happily recommend this as a beginner capture card before you figure out if you need something more.

Plug and play
This 1080p capture card was extremely easy to get setup and working on a Mac. Simply plug it into an available USB port and it appears as a video and audio source in any application. You just need to know it is simply called "V02". If you don't plug anything into it you see a "No Video" card so you know it's working.Once you connect a source via HDMI the video shows in your app of choice. You can use it to feed a camera into FaceTime or Zoom or capture video in applications such as Quicktime, OBS or VLC.It does not feature HDMI passthrough but, at its current price of £14.39, I think it offers good value for money.

Easy to setup and use, captures 4k@60 Hz signal, records to 2k
This video capture card works as described on the product page. It’s recognised by the HDMI-attached source device as a display that supports 4k@60 Hz, and by the USB-attached recording device as a video input device. It doesn’t require downloading drivers or anything. As a video input device, the capture card can be used with the open-source OBS Studio for recording and streaming games, conferences, demos, teaching/instructional videos, etc. While the capture card appears to the source device as a 4k display, and it passes through a 4k (3840×2160) signal to the actual display, it records at one quarter of that resolution, i.e. 2k (1920×1080).The build quality of the device is good. It has an attractive aluminium exterior, with rubber feet to help keep it in place, despite pressure from attached cables. It looks to be well ventilated, and in my testing, recording 4k@60 Hz, it didn’t get overly hot.Overall, this product works as expected, without any setup or other issues, and I can recommend it.

Worked perfectly to connect Nintendo Switch to Meta Quest 3 to use Quest 3 as a screen
My sole purpose in getting this was to be able to connect my Nintendo Switch to my Meta Quest 3 headset. The V69 software update introduced a free app called HDMI Link. With this app, one can connect certain devices to the Quest and essentially use the Quest as a screen for the device (one could previously do this if you sideloaded an Android USB Camera APK). There are some pieces of hardware required to make this work, though. The most important one is a capture card. With the Switch, it can be connected to the Quest while in docked or portable mode. When docked, the Switch receives power through the dock, and there is an HDMI out port. When not docked, you have to use the USB-C port on the Switch. Additionally, you’re likely going to want or need power going to the Switch and the Quest. For the Quest, I recommend an OTG dongle that has a male USB-C end to connect to the Quest. It would also need a USB-C power port to connect either a battery or cable that connects to a charger, and it would need a USB port, whether it be a USB-C or a USB 3.0 (or higher) port to connect into from your source device. The reason I recommend this is that it’s small, and if you have a headset with a battery pack incorporated into it, it’s very easy to use that to deliver power. Alternatively, you might be able to use a USB-C hub, probably with an extension cable, that has a power port on it, which, if connected to a charger, could provide unlimited power.Docked, you can get away with a capture card that has an HDMI input and a PD port and a USB-C or USB-A 3.0 (+) output. If it doesn’t have a PD port for power, you’ll likely want to have an additional device between the capture card and the Quest to provide power.Undocked, you would need a device that is USB-C to HDMI that has a PD port to charge the Switch and then the capture card that connects from that device to the Quest, preferably with a PD port or an additional device between the capture card and the Quest. Alternatively, if you had this device, which is a USB-C input capture card that also has a USB-C data port plus a USB-C PD port, you could get away with the capture card and a USB-C to USB-C cable, which could connect to the Quest 3 directly, or, in order to also provide power to the Quest, you could add an OTG dongle with PD port. The dongle could sit on the Quest, and you’d have a data input plus the PD port for power.I connected the USB-C cable to the Switch while undocked. I then connected a charging cable to the PD port to power the Switch. I have an OTG dongle with a PD port, so I had that connected to the Quest, and I ran a USB-C to USB-C data cable between the capture card and the OTG dongle. It worked perfectly, so I’m happy with this.

デスクトップpc(Windows 10)→ この商品→ ノートpc(Windows 10、OBS Studioで録音録画)すでに2,000時間ちかく、ほぼ連続で使っています。
