RICKRAK.COM HARLEY DAVIDSON COLORED Go-Pro FAIRING MOUNTS (BLUE)

I bought this mount for my trip to Sturgis and was excited by the video I was going to get from my GoPro using it. Unfortunately, for some unknown reason, while riding down Highway 79 to the Full Throttle Saloon for unknown reason it just popped off, along with my GoPro. I was surprised because I bought a Tour Pack Bag from RickRak and it was a great product. This mount came highly recommended by the folks on Law Abiding Biker Podcast, who's reviews I've come to trust. I know the first thought was the mount was not installed correctly, and while I have no way of proving it was, I can assure you not only was it installed correctly but everything was tightly screwed in. If I would have bought it at the RickRak vendor booth in Rapid City I would have brought it back there but I hadn't, nor did I have any receipts. I will say, very surprisingly, the GoPro survived the fall, hitting the road doing 65MPH and coming away with only minor surface damage. It worked fine afterwards. The mount however was damaged beyond repair. I missed my chance to get a video going down Spearfish Cannon, though I was able to find a cheap head strap mount later in the week. Maybe I got the one bad set shipped but I would be very hesitant to use it with an expensive camera. I'm in the market now for other alternatives that don't require my sticking the camera on my head.
