2-Pack Rubber Glue - 50g Instant Adhesive, Waterproof Rubber Cement, Liquid Rubber, Professional Quick-Dry Super Glue for Tyre, Boots, Shoes, Leather, Cement, Mat

I was curious as to what this would be as I haven't come across black glue before. The smell gives it away though as it is basically black superglue. The added colour should be handy for fixing shoes to blend it better with the colour of the sole. I don't have anything which needs repairing, so as a test I took two pieces of wood and stuck them together. 10 minutes later neither my partner or I were able to pull the two apart. It forms a very strong bond. As with pretty much all glues, this won't stick soft plastics, but it should be good for a temporary fix for most shoes or other household items.

Fairly strong glue used on different material such as rubber and metal just be careful while applying as can get stuck to your fingers.

I don't think that any glue holds up to expectations, so I don't have many for this one. It's still early days and although I had nothing to glue (and hopefully won't), I really wanted to see if this black liquid was any good. I've just done a couple of quick tests: cardboard bonded after about 30 seconds and was inseparable after a minute. I tried a cellophane wrapper to the sellotape on a parcel: very uneventful. Desperate to see if this was going in the bin or being stored in the "it might come in handy cupboard" I decided that my Crocs would be fair game. I chose the pair I wear in the garden, so the soles weren't pristine. Not a care in the world, I gave a good squirt to the sole of one Croc and then held them together for a short while (maybe about 30 - 60 seconds. I then placed them on the floor for a few minutes whilst I did other things. I expected them to fall apart, especially as the bond didn't feel rigid. I pulled them apart easily but the soles were in fact stuck together and the Crocs tore. Not the glue. So they didn't feel stiffly stuck due to the glue being for rubber (I assume).Still not sure what to make of this glue, it seems too good to be true for the right applications.Regardless, it's really good value for money compared to some other brands and will certainly be good enough for most jobs around the house. I'm keen to test it on more surfaces to see just how good it is. Also I'm hoping the lid doesn't end up stuck onto the bottle like so many others do (I don't think it will).
