Nova Rico 30cm Elite Illuminated Globe

We bought this as a 6th birthday present for my son - it would have been good value for money if it wasn't for all the countries being written in a foreign language, which is totally pointless for teaching kids about countries of the world!There was nothing in the product description to state that would be the fact. Totally useless for education in the UK - shame as it would have been excellent value for money otherwise. I just wish Amazon had noted that fact in the product description.

This would have been excellent value for money other than for the fact that it was bought for my 5 year old English speaking grandson but all the information on the globe is in a foreign language. Now I'm all for foreign languages being learnt at an early age but I would also like him to learn the English names for countries as well.It would have been very helpful to have known which language this globe was printed in before I bought it, a fact that I think Amazon should take note of. I'm just very pleased that I opened the box as this would have been a great disappointment on Christmas Day.

Bought as a gift for my mum, read the review saying all the country names are written in the native language of that country. Not true. All the country names are written in German as this is a German globe. This is not mentioned anywhere in the item description. Needless to say, it was too close to my mums birthday to send it back.One other thing, the item pictures show the piece round the edge of the globe with the degree markings written on as what looks like polished or brushed aluminium. This is not the case and it is made from clear plastic.Overall I would have expected more for the price even if the country names were not written in German.

Its in German and useless as a UK educational product, unless studying that language!! It has not been sent from the correct manufacturer either which may be the problem. An emglish replacement is supposed to be on its way but even though Ive explained the problem and my worry to the, non native english speaking amazon rep, I wouldnt be surprised if this is a back end fullfilment issue and we have the same problem or delivery issues for christmas. please do not disapoint my 7 year old Amazon! It's in German! What the?! That is a key detail that needs highlighting in the product description! I'll be reading all reviewer's comments in future.It's on its way back. Blimey.
