I purchased this repeater in hopes of extending wifi to the back porch area of my house. Once I attempted to install and connect this product to my wireless router, I received authentication errors and it never connected. I reset several times, attempted to connect using both the same SSID and another and nothing worked. After reading the reviews on this product, my best guess is that its junk technology and all of the positive reviews are fake. This product does not do what it states and you will be dissapointed. The instructions and box/packaging have mispelled words, no tech support, no contact number, not presence on the web.Stay away.

During setup, this extender scans your existing Wi-Fi network for the ssid it should use and you enter the ssid password. Next, based on the instructions, you scan the network again to enter the password again. Except it then can’t find the page or gets into a never “ending scanning your network” phase.It’s going back to the seller.

Works as described. Easy set up. I put it in the kitchen to give coverage in the back yard. Occasionally needs to be reset like any router
