PondKraft Hose Tap Flow Control - 25mm

Bought this to connect between my water butt and the down pipe from my roof. Very sturdy and does the job but a little bit over priced. Would definitely recommend though.

Easy to fit into the pipe and does exactly what it's meant to do. Plastic so it should last for ages.

Useful item to install when your water butt gets full just turn the lever and job done

Does the job but needs to be well supported in use. I am cautious of over tightening the hose clips for fear of cracking the plastic valve. Also the valve is very stiff to move and needs greasing in some way. I am afraid of breaking it, purely in the process of opening/closing the valve. Expected it would have been made with a more flexible plastic

Bought this as changed water butts and wanted a way to shut off the inlet during heavy rain (as water butts are lower than the gutter joint). Works nicely. Rarely have to use it but handy to have.

It looked a very good tap but for me it was too hard to turn handle so I never fitted it. I will probably buy locally if I really need one so I can test the turning on & off mechanism as I think I have to pay the return postage. They only decide that when they receive it back.

I used this to for to a water butt, it is the correct size to fit the standard tubing that seems to come with most water butt connection kits.

I had two rain water barrels connected to each other and the rain down pipe. When I added a third barrel it would not cut off the flow when it was full so overflowed.Putting this tap between the second and third barrel means I can cut off the flow when I see the barrel overflow. Simple.
