WOW. Can not recommend this product highly enough.
WOW. Can not recommend this product highly enough. I am a 48 year old man and have an inguinal hernia on my right side. I have been waiting for surgery for 8 months. I have carried on working in this time but unfortunately four weeks ago I had to leave work and come home. I had made it worse than ever. The pain was unbearable. I could hardly walk and did not know what to do with myself. After resting up for 3 weeks I finally plucked up the courage to look up hernia supports, as recommended by my doctor. I looked at a few on Amazon and read the reviews before settling on this one. It arrived the next day. I was instantly impressed by its quality. The size and fit wear spot on. Although I am in between small and medium I opted for small after reading their was adjustment in it. This was not a bad thing because when I fastened it up to myself it needed stretching a little to get the Velcro to join. This gave me instant support and relief. From then on my life got better by the day. I can even walk the dog again for his morning and afternoon strolls. I can go back to work on light duty whilst I am waiting for my surgery and the Mrs is happy cause I am not under her feet. Gentleman. Some tips to help you get along with the product, some of which I picked up from other reviews. Wear trunk boxer shorts underneath with short legs in and key hole type flies for toilet stops. This avoids chaffing from the straps between your legs. Also adjust the sides so that the Velcro is in the middle and you will not get chaffing on your sides above your hips. Things can get a little warm with it on, so on occasion I had to let it all hang out the front of my boxers under my jeans. Finally, I could only reduce my lump by lying down and gently massaging it back. Sometimes I could not even do that. Obviously if your lump comes up and hurts like hell, take the belt off and go to hospital. I say this because there are no instructions with the item, well mine had none anyway and I would not want anyone make it worse than what it already is. ( look up strangulated hernia ) I would fit my support in the morning whilst hernia was reduced and remove belt in evening for watching TV or sitting for long periods. Hope this helps anyone unfortunate enough to be in my position. If I knew about this item I would have got one straight away before things had got worse for me.

Comfortable and helpful belt
This is a very helpful product. It fits easily and flexibly for hernias and is easy to move about being very easy to adjust and relatively easy to keep in place. As for size it appears better, as other reviewers have mentioned, to get small for medium sized etc 34 to 36 inches approx and medium if your waste is larger, say 36 to 42 inches and so on for large etc. Otherwise you could end up with a lot of excess elastic! All in all a very good product.

I can walk again- in comfort!
Ordered the belt on 22nd December and it arrived the next day, which was a pleasant surprise, given the proximity of Christmas.I wore the belt for the first time yesterday evening. Easy to fit and adjust and not noticeable under my jeans. Before I had this belt, I could manage about 10 minutes of walking before I needed to sit down because of the pain of my inguinal hernia. Yesterday, I walked round the Christmas market for about two and a half hours with no pain whatsoever. Brilliant!I can't recommend this belt highly enough. Two tips:The sizing is based on your waist size. If you've not measured your waist for a few years, it would be a good idea to check it before deciding on the correct size. if you're like me, you may have gained an inch or two?The model in the picture is wearing snugly-fitting trunks. If you buy this belt, i suggest you get some too. The extra leg length will avoid the straps that go between your legs making direct contact with your skin. My trunks are of the 'keyhole design' that allows you to have a wee without having to move the belt.

They do the job, but at what cost!
OK so they do the job, but I can only imagine that the creator has something against hernia sufferers.First of all don't look at the picture. It looks nothing like what's shown. The only thing you should take from the image is that under no circumstances should you wear this against your skin. It's not just the fact that the support is almost made entirely from Velcro straps that causes a high level discomfort, it's more the fact that the way the two groin straps are connected at the back means within a short amount of time those two straps will be firmly lodged between your buttocks. Not pleasant!Wearing the support on top of your underpants makes the whole experience a little more bearable, but be warned now things can start getting very crushed at the front!I'd send them back if it wasn't for the fact that you have to trim the straps to wear it in the first place, plus they kind of do the job. Now I'm only wearing them until I get the Flat Pad Support, which seems to be a lot more comfortable if a little on the costly side.

Does the job
I agree with another reviewer that the belt is a little different to the picture.I find it difficult to put on although I'm am improving with practice. It does slip down whilst I'm wearing it and again I'm trying different ways of adjusting it to help minimise this. The belt is good overall and good value for money.

Velcro not fit for purpose
If this product had velcro that did not become unusable within 3 weeks of first use, it would be ideal. The design is comfortable and supportive but is now unusable due to the velcro not fastening any more. Therefore until the vendor redesigns to avoid this problem, I would certainly avoid this product. I did message the vendor but got no response.
