Very good flap discs. Gets the job done and lasts a long time.

These things get the job done. The packaging was a tad left to be desired as the product packaging was busted open inside the Amazon bag...but that's probably an Amazon thing. Maybe packaging in a light cardboard or paperboard box would be better. The flap discs themselves are pretty typical of what I've used in the past. I'm just a hobbyist, so I don't need the best stuff...plus, with this being a pretty large multipack, it won't hurt me to burn through a couple. But they seem to wear alright.

These flap wheels are a good brand-name option that holds up to what can be expected from Norton. They’re not the cheapest option out there, but abrasives generally seem to have a better price-to-performance ration with good-quality brand-name items than cheap generics since they last longer. Overall, these are recommended if the grit and price range fit your needs,

I have the 80-grit version of this, I use it to trim off the rough edges and also prep surfaces for welding. I must say, the Zirconia composite makes a real grinding disc. Pretty much I could deburr just about any edge in one pass, and this is a mere 80-grit grinding flap. I couldn't believe how easy it is to use this disc. It also does not get hot despite the fast RPM and force onto the surfaces. I'll be keeping at least 5 of these at all times in my garage. These are very handy to have, easy to swap, and does a great job at prepping metal surfaces for further work. Highly recommendable.

Benchmark abrasives sells a better longer lasting product for less.

At Christmas time I make a big batch of culinary spatulas or stirring spoons from fancy wood types. I have got almost every stage of shaping and smoothing optimized except for almost final smoothing. I spend my life looking for soft but firm rotary sanding disks. There is a huge gap between utterly useless does nothing and super aggressive and grinds too hard.For my application these sanding pads from NORTON are too aggressive. I'm sure if you are a car guy they will do a nice job on your sheet metal though.The pads are very solidly constructed and look as if they will stand a very tough grinding environment. The overlapping abrasive pads are firmly compressed together rather than the type where they have room to flap or flex.I will continue my search but not because these pads failed.

I rely on flap discs like these to help get the mill scale off metal parts before I weld them and for knocking down and smoothing out welds. I've used a number of flap discs, and while these aren't the cheapest, they are fast. I like that, unlike some of the bargain flap discs, Norton hasn't skimped on the number of flaps or the thickness of the disc--there's plenty of abrasive there, so I hope that means they'll last longer than the cheap no-name discs.In use, this was quick to remove the mill scale. At 80 grit, it doesn't leave a super smooth finish, but it also didn't seem to gouge the surface.I appreciate that in this 10 pack, the cost per disc still works out to be about half the cost of the individual ones at the big orange box store.

These fit our angle grinder exactly as described and they performed just as well as the name brand discs. They are very aggressive and remove material quickly, so use caution if you don't want to remove a lot of material. These have not been needed for any large project as of yet but they were tested on several things to assure that they worked as expected. We are pleased with this product.
