Why Are You Buying This?
My reasons for buying this specific razor: - I wanted a travel razor. This razor's size makes it ideal. Since its an electric, no need to pack my full shaving supplies (shave soap, brush, alum, styptic pencil.) - That this razor charges with USB-C was a contributing factor. I can charge it with something I'm already packing. I'm also trying to avoid proprietary chargers in my life. - Panasonic is a brand I know and trust. I expect it will be around when it comes time to replace the foil. I've used electrics in the past (mostly rotary) but for the last 10+ years, I've been a wet shaver. I enjoy the routine of it and get a better shave. For travel, I keep looking for ways to lighten my load. I have travel sizes for all my shaving stuff but its still a lot. Its harder to freshen up in the airport if you want and at some point, I'm packing a wet brush. I've only used this razor a couple of times, just to try it out, and the shave was about what I expected. Good, not great, but certainly good enough for travel. Five stars for me since it delivers what I bought it for. I'm traveling next week so I'll see what battery life is like. I've known guys who shaved in traffic on their way to work. For someone like that, I think this would be a great razor. Again, USB-C charging is a plus. If I wanted an everyday to use in the bathroom, I would probably choose something more ergonomic. Update after traveling with it: I took a nine day trip with this razor. It was packed in my checked bag so I didn't use it on travel days. On the first charge, I used it twice at home before leaving and six times while traveling and I have not recharged it yet. Each time I shook it out over the sink and gave it a light brushing. All shaves were fine. Not as close as a blade shave but good enough that I would go to work (and did) after using this razor. I took my time, made a few passes, and got a good shave. For the reason I bought this razor, five stars. This is a great travel razor.

Amazing Shave!
After years of experimenting with budget electric shavers, I finally decided to splurge a little and invest in a $100 electric shaver. Let me tell you, it was one of the best decisions Iโve made! Initially, I hesitated at the thought of spending that much on a shaver, especially since Iโve been burned before by cheaper options that broke down or had parts that simply didnโt hold up. But this time, I was determined to find something that would last, and wow, did I find it! First off, the noise level is surprisingly pleasant. Itโs not completely silent, but itโs definitely not obnoxious either. It strikes a balance that makes the shaving experience feel more enjoyable rather than a chore. **No one wants a shaver that sounds like a lawnmower in the bathroom!** Now, letโs talk about the comfort factor. This shaver fits in my hand perfectly. The ergonomic design is a game changer! It feels so natural to hold, and I can easily maneuver it around my face without any awkward angles or discomfort. **It's like it was made just for me!** And when it comes to performance, this shaver delivers a shave that is as smooth as butter. Iโm not exaggerating when I say it glides effortlessly over my skin, cutting through hair with precision and ease. No tugging, no pulling, just a clean, close shave every time. Plus, the feature specifically designed for beards is an absolute bonus. Whether Iโm going for a clean look or maintaining a bit of stubble, this shaver adapts beautifully to my grooming needs. The compact size is another highlight. It doesnโt take up much space, which is great for storage or travel. I can easily toss it into my toiletries bag without worrying about it being bulky. In conclusion, if you've been on the fence about investing in a quality electric shaver, take it from me: **donโt hesitate!** This shaver is worth every penny and has transformed my grooming routine. I finally feel like Iโve found the right tool for the jobโone that wonโt let me down and will stand the test of time. If you value comfort, efficiency, and a smooth shave, this is the investment you need to make!

A Decent Electric Razor
I'll be comparing this to my only other electric razor I've used for over two decades: two previous iterations of the Braun Series 3. I've been using this Panasonic Swipe Right razor for a little over two weeks, which is as long as the battery has lasted on my initial charge. This isn't bad given the size of the razor and that it's meant for travel. I use it for shaving only my neck daily. I use a 20-year-old Remington for trimming my beard, but it's too big to trim my mustache. For this reason, I have to keep my old Braun razor, since it does have a slide-out trimmer on it. It would be nice if this Panasonic had a small slide-out trimmer as well. I have noticed it has two motor engagements; it makes an audible change in the vibration when shifting to the closer shave (when I press the razor into my neck more firmly). The normal motor engagement probably gives a slightly worse shave than the Braun electric razors I've used, while the closer motor engagement is somewhat better than the Brauns. Like other electric razors I've used, it takes several passes to get all the visible hairs. Unlike my Brauns, this Panasonic is able to get a pretty smooth shave, where brushing my fingers along my neck line doesn't prickle stubble just below the surface of the skin. It's not quite the feeling of a traditional manual razor because it's hard to get the smooth shave evenly everywhere, but it's close. And unlike my Brauns, I do get some mild razor burn with this razor sometimes, despite oiling the foil with the included oil. It hasn't cut me, though, like some other reviewers have mentioned. As others have pointed out, the method of turning this razor on is stupid. The first thing I did was test turning it on with the cap on because when I read that was possible in another review I said "there's no way they'd be stupid enough to design this to turn on with the cap on." Well, they are. However, in practice, as long as I'm careful when I'm dropping it in my bag and don't hear any vibrating, it should be okay. It also turns on accidentally when I'm trying to clean it. Cleaning inside the foil is easy and simple, by the way: press the tabs on the side to pop the foil off and then rinse, let dry, and snap the foil back on. The power button would have been MUCH better as a solid state button (i.e. still not a physical button that allows water intrusion) that you press and hold for a second to turn on/off. I haven't accidentally turned it off while using it, but it's annoying I have to use two hands to turn it on and off, or turn it on while it's sitting on the shelf and then pick it up. The main reason I ordered this razor, and why I'll be keeping it, is because it's one of the few name-brand razors that has USB-C charging. I don't know why other manufacturers are so slow to get on board with this. I don't want to travel with a large, proprietary adapter with a non-detachable cord that takes up more space than this entire razor. So kudos to Panasonic for using some common sense there. The cover for the charging port doesn't always get out of the way of the USB-C cable as well as I would like, but I only have to worry about that a couple of times a month. I plan to use this Panasonic as my daily razor as well as for travel. I love the small size, which takes up little space in the bathroom or bag. Charging is relatively easy, I get a better shave than my old Brauns, and it looks very good with a nice, high-end build. Provided it lasts, it's worth every bit of 4 stars. It's clear there are still several ways Panasonic can improve upon this design in future models: fix the power button situation; include a small slide-out trimmer; and give the user an option to only use the closer shave motor at all times, even at the expense of battery life.

Great little shaver for travel โ super compact and charges with USB-C
I picked this up for an overseas trip since Iโm trying to pack lighter these days. I usually bring a full-size electric shaver, but it takes up too much space and needs its own charger. This Panasonic travel shaver was a great find. Itโs definitely not quite as close or powerful as my main shaver, but for travel, it does the job really well. What makes it totally worth it is the USB-C chargingโno extra cords to pack. I just use the same cable I bring for my phone and other stuff, which makes life easier. Itโs super small and light. If youโre a one-bag traveler or just like to pack light, this is a solid choice. Pros: Really compact and light Easy to clean Charges with USB-C (huge bonus) Good shave for the size Great for travel or quick touch-ups Cons: Not as close as a full-size shaver (but expected) Overall, Iโm glad I bought it. It made travel easier and still kept me looking decent. Would definitely recommend if you're trying to cut down on what you pack.

This is the best electric travel razor I have ever owned.
This is by far the best electric travel razor, I have ever owned. Itโs: ** compact, **charges quickly, **easy to clean, **cuts close, ** doesnโt tug on hairs. Itโs just a really good travel razor; that could be used for daily shaving as well. I will say that this and all other foil razors are better for the face, rather than the headโฆ only because the head is more rounded. Overall I really like the razor and I do recommend it.

Great. Couldn't ask for more.
After a few months, I'm pretty happy with this thing. I travel most weeks but I use it for home and travel. I ditched my Norelco for home use. I was using the original Panasonic that ran on AA batteries. *I still have it as a backup. I loved that thing too but this is newer, bigger and better. It's just a little thicker. I kinda prefer the more angular shape of the old one for when my hands are wet but this is pretty great. I get a smoother shave but it's not quite as gentle. Still, I can't complain. I don't get razor burn or anything... I my face just feels a little more raw. What I like best are that it's rechargeable using USB-C, I can clean it with water and-- most of all it cuts through three or four days of growth. To me that means, I don't need to travel with an extra cord or a little cleaning brush. I can also skip a few days of shaving without worrying about jamming up my shaver. This is one of my favorite purchases in recent memory, I hope you feel the same way.

Works great! Smells like rotten flesh...
One of the best features of this razor is its adaptive speeds. If it's in a shower, or shaving wet skin, it seems to slow down, and give you an even closer shave. Dry shave is also great. Small and ideal for travel. Biggest gripe about it, and the reason for -2 stars is that the lid is cheap plastic, with no air circulation. What that means is that if you wash your razor, or do a wet shave then pack up and go, your razor- and anything that the shaver touches - will smell like rotting flesh. You need to take it all apart, and let it air dry before putting it back together. Not ideal for travel.

Great travel shaver, gimmicky swipe on/off switch is a miss
This is a great shaver for travel. Battery life is good, and USB-C charging is a wonderful feature. It does a good job shaving. I have a beard and use this on my neck and upper cheek areas for cleanup, so I have to be careful around the edges as it will knock down longer whiskers. Not a razor-clean shave, but definitely good for a foil shaver. All in all I'm quite happy with it. Except the swipe motion power switch. That's a hard miss. It doesn't work reliably. Maybe they chose this over a trusty physical switch to achieve the IPX7 rating? Maybe my skin is too dry but it takes multiple tries to power it on or off almost every time. It's an annoying feature on an otherwise great shaver. If this had a physical power switch I'd give it 5 stars.

Neat and compact. Shaves fairly well. Difficult to compare as I have always been a wet shaver.

Ideal Travel Shaver
USB-C charging port means no need to carry a power adapter. Cover design prevents accidental switching on while in transit. Easy to clean - just shave while showering.
