Gets Hot!
I’m quite happy with this little wax melter. It melts beeswax very quickly, even on the low setting. It doesn’t have a spout, so I just poured it into my wax melting pot and poured the candles from that. It worked out great. I did notice that when the wax is low it smokes a bit. It was very easy to use and clean. If you just make small batches this melter is a very good value.

Heats quickly and needs pour spout
This is perfect for my garage/craft laboratory. I like the fact it heats quickly but accurate pouring is tough. Highly recommend.

Perfect for small batches!
I make homemade wax melts and make many different scents at a time. This melting pot is PERFECT for my routine. It’s easy to clean between scents and melts super quick. I only use the low setting and have to be careful to make sure the wax doesn’t sit too long because the low setting is still very hot. I don’t pour from the pot to my molds, but pour into a heat resistant cup first. Overall I’m very happy with this product and recommend it for small melting batches.

Good for light crafting and possible non-wax applications.
This is quite small. It will only pour a few small candles or a couple of medium candles at a time. If that's what you're looking for, it will work for you. It will hold more wax than it takes for that, but without a pour spout, you can only fill it so far and still be able to pour the wax without making a mess. That being said, if I lived in a dorm, I'd pour a can of soup in this. Heat water for tea. Ramen. I can see it being really handy for non-wax applications. However, I wouldn't pitch it to serious candle makers. Others are right that it runs hot.

It's like a crockpot for candle-making!
I've just started playing with candle-making - when I was little, my mom used to make candles using a double-boiler on the stove, so I was thrilled to find an easier way to do it!My first thought when opening the package was that this looks just like a little crock pot. But when I turned it on, I realized that it gets hot far faster than a crock pot does. The only thing I haven’t quite figured out is how to get all the wax out and into my containers more neatly - I wish the pot had a pouring spout or something, because even after a good few tries, I’m still making a big mess when pouring. I’m hoping it’s just a learning curve that I just haven’t gotten through, though, because I’m otherwise having a ton of fun with this new hobby!

Way too hot.
This gets way too hot very quickly. Way hotter than it should for melting wax. You really have to constantly check the temperature so you don't burn the wax. Even the low setting is too hot. And the handle to the lid broke off first use. It also does not have a pour spout on it.
