A Basic Unit
Not as much flame as I was expecting. I think this is smaller bore than the previous one, whose irreplaceable cork gasket lost its gasketossity. My bad for not shopping more carefully. Reasonable price for adequate performance on tasks that are not high-heat events.

Worth the extra cost vs non self lighting top!!!
I have the lower end version of this product, no igniter. got at home depot in package with a tank, and refilled tanks over n over til the old one broke. this slightly more expensive BUT WORTH EVERY PENNY! you dont need to fool around with a second lighter to ignite torch which didnt bother me much, the real key here is the flame. the lower end model shoots a straight beam. where this has a slight 3 prong flare out just a bit which makes the spread of heat much more even and easy to use. also it turns off way faster, never need to blow out flame, old one would be slow to stop gas and keep small flame running, this thing is the real deal!

Not for smoking/bong
Very high strong flame..I normally use torch lighters but Walmart substituted a propane tank for a can of butane I ordered, and my torch was stolen..so I got this for tank of butane I got..it works great if ur welding or soldering something, but to smoke it's very difficult to turn flame down so low without it going out completely..

Worked poorly then ended in a ball of fire
Piece of junk, but worse its dangerous. Ended with a fireball in my hand. First, worked great for 30 min, using it to do some shou sugi ban on some wood. Then the flame wouldn't stay consistent and mostly was too low to work. So I tried different propane tanks, tried stopping and starting, tried taking it off and making sure threads were good but it would fire up nice and last about 10 seconds then go down to unusable. Next day comes, try it again and I'm going good for about 5 minutes, then a fireball from where it connects to the tank. I dropped it and the flame just kept going from there. I threw on some grill gloves and tried to knock down the flame with water so I could turn the knob. Did that but because it was a leak before the knob it just let going. I just had to sit there and watch it and keep the tank as cool as I could with water. Wish it burned that consistently from the end it was supposed to. Not the adventure I was looking for. No one got hurt but no way I'm using that thing again. No returns and they make it impossible to find how to contact a seller now.. what a joke. Hope you like my pictures...

Hank Hill would be like "well I'll be. That's a good torch nozzle"
Perfect replacement for your propane torch tip thingy. My old one just stopped lighting and I needed this and it works perfectly

The igniter stops igniting. The tip wiggles.
After a day of use, the metal tip down at the plastic sleeve becomes loose and wiggles side to side. The igniter stops working efficiently and you end up pressing the button around 10 times to get the ignition. You can set the gas with the knob but in reality it needs to be all the way to the max to hold a flame or it will turn off. If you tilt the bottle even a little, the flame starts to cut out causing you to ignite again. I wouldn't recommend this purchase, maybe the map torch that's double the price may work better. I had one and the brass part cracked and isn't replaceable. Buy this for disposable use only.
