Handy “woman size” shovel
This works great cleaning the gutter area in the front of my property. The smaller shovel is perfect for me as the lifting isn’t too much weight per shovel-full.

Great product but really small
I would have loved to have given you five stars but unfortunately this shovel is too small I expected it to be a bit bigger your picture is very misleading also could use a couple extra poles to make it a little bit longer this thing certainly hurts my back a lot not only that but you'll be lucky if you pick up a small scoop full of dirt not exactly a big scoop

Light duty
This is a light duty gardening shovel. For an occasional work around garden and flower beds, this will do quite nicely. For a major digging project, you'll need to consider something else. I can see this shovel also working well as a beach shovel for older kids (8+) as it's too large for smaller kiddos. This is advertised as portable. It's true in a sense that it's more portable than a 5' shovel, but it's not like you'll be realistically breaking down to take it somewhere (it comes unassembled, so some assembly required).-1 star because of a host of small issue:1. The blade is dull as a door knob. The product listing mentioned the "sharpened blade". There's nothing sharp about it: it's 2mm thick. To be fair, in a gardening/beach shovel this is probably not super critical.2. The blade itself is made of a lightweight material (possibly aluminum?). It's so light that I'm worried about it bending should it hit a rock somewhere or if you put too much heavy stuff into it.3. The screws holding the blade in place look like they'll start rusting upon the first exposure to water (especially salt water), so with this, it may not be a great choice of a shovel for the beach.

Love This Shovel
This shovel arrived quickly and well packaged with all parts and pieces in tact. It does come disassembled, and includes easy to follow instructions. I was able to assemble it in about a minute and once assembled it is very sturdy and durable. The shovel is small enough to be considered portable, though I do wish there was a way to lengthen or shorten it so that it could fit under a seat or in the floorboard of my car more conveniently. I really like the padded area on the shovel for your front hand but I wish there was padding on the handle as well (though it isn’t really needed). The shovel has worked great for a variety of different needs so far from moving dirt, to digging a hole, to picking up dog waste. There have been no issues with the shovel warping or bending, and no cracking or chipping. It is very easy to clean up when you’re done using it and I have seen no signs of rust on it thus far. The price point for this is affordable when compared with other similar shovels. Overall, if your looking for a shovel that is durable and has a wide variety of different uses, then this is well worth getting (and I already have the pointed version of this and love it as well). Would highly recommend.

decent
This shovel is not bad, not perfect but not bad. The material feels sturdy and it went together easy enough, what I'm scratching my head with is they did pass through bolts for the blade of the shovel but when it came to the handle the manufacturer opted for a compression clamp style of attachment which for me I believe will be the weak point of the shovel.

Pretty decent small square shovel
This shovel is probably about as good as it can be given that it comes in pieces you have to assemble, making it inherently weaker. All tools required for assembly are provided, as well as spares. The handle is a hollow metal tube, but the metal is reasonably thick and sturdy. The boltholes are well-machined, even including shaped retention cutouts so you only have to rotate one end when tightening on the nuts. The square blade of the shovel is also fairly thick metal that should be able to handle ordinary dirt as long as there aren't too many rocks. The weak point is the handle, which is a single molded piece of plastic containing no metal at all. But, it's pretty thick and strong plastic, so again, should last reasonably well with ordinary care.I do think this is a bit pricey for what it is, so shop around. But it's not bad.

Good, Smaller Shovel...
This is a nice shovel. It is small, lightweight and was very easy to put together. Once everything is tightened down it feels sturdy. Handle is ergonomic. Not very sharp, but can be sharpened if you get rid of the paint on it. This is great for small projects around the house or garden.

just okay
As a light-weight, sometimes used shovel, it’s fine. I actually wanted it for my car as I keep a stash of emergency supplies, which includes items to help put out small fires, in my car. I’d chosen it because it’s mostly metal. I could also see using it at the beach and/or possibly digging firepits.Likes: the handle is easy to grip and hold. The shovel is the size that I wanted.Dislikes: Why did it come in pieces? That made no sense to me. The nuts and screws weren’t in the bag when I opened the box—the bag was closed and empty. Instead, they were just thrown in the box. The “tools” that came with them was laughable. The disposable wrench was too big for the nuts and I wasn’t able to use it. And on that part of the shovel, one of the sets of holes was too small for me to fit the screw in, so I was only able to use one screw. Even more annoyingly, I couldn’t fully tighten the other one. With the screws at the handle, they at least fit, but I have problems with some handwork and they were difficult for me to place, but once I did, they tightened up okay.Overall: sturdy-ish, might have difficulty putting it together, limited uses.
