Bought 3 items of this type and brand. Two did not work immediately out of the box. Not cheap and hoped when buying these the higher price tag and decent reviews were a somewhat safe sign. Not so. Bad quality and now more suspicious when buying off Amazon.

My son and all of his friends spent many hours this summer having water fights and this was one of their favorite water guns. The gun shoots the water very well and they really liked how it looked as well. The fact that it’s electric made shooting it very easy and fun. It is made very well and lasted all summer with many children of all ages playing with it a lot! Great price and performance. Very happy we got this water gun.

This thing is awesome. My kids love it, and dad likes to borrow it as well. There are a couple of things that I don't like, but they are small, and this thing is so much fun that I couldn't take a star away. Even knowing the couple of things I don't like, I would still (and have) get more so that the whole family can have one.The only issues are the battery compartment being small, the first magazine being so small, and the glasses are no good. It is so hard to get the battery in, you have to fold the wires in such a way, that it makes me wonder how many times I'll be able to do this before it gets a short in the wire, but so far, it's been working flawlessly, so no star taken. The small mag only last about 10 seconds before it's empty. It actually takes longest to fill it than it does to empty it, but we just stopped using it altogether, because the larger drum mag last sooooo long. It's perfect for the toy and it's really all you need. It's very easy to fill, and there is pretty much zero leakage from the mag or the gun. The glasses are just the most cloudy, and weird glasses I've ever used. To that point, we don't use them. I don't hold this against them either because I had no intention on using glasses for a water gun fight anyway. When you put them on, it looks like your underwater. It's a weird wavy look that makes them unusable if you were intending to use them at all.Those things don't take anything away from the toy because its so cool and fun. You just squeeze the trigger and hold, it just keeps cycling and bursting the water out. It shoots far enough, but nothing that would shock you. It better than cheap water guns, but not like a pump super soaker distance. It all depends on if it's windy and the angle you shoot it at. I really don't have any complaints, other than the battery compartment. They could have made it bigger and it wouldn't affect the gun. It's already pretty big, it looks like robocop's pistol. You can go wrong with this for a fun water pistol.
