The only real product for adherring anything to mirrors is "mirror mastic" Why? because the mylar mirror backing to the mirror will peel or degrade with other products. Nonetheless, you are just looking for a cheap solution.. Otherwise you'd just buy a new one, right? Hence, I'd suggest a 100% silicone product. Why silicone? It's the most neutral and the most flexible over time.. It's not specific to mirrors or the plastic cover you have, however, Silicone is will stick to a variety of materials (hard plastic cover & mirrors) and will stay flexible with abuse..
