Amazing
Book Review Ahead»»Book - Beyond The MenuAuthor - Ravi WazirPages - 288Published - June 20 2024⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5Well, you must have heard of the FX show, 'The Bear', and many of you might have watched it as well, but if you're like me, what excited you the most about the show must have been how Carmen Berzatto manages his restaurant alongwith Sydney and Natalie. Ravi Wazir's Beyond The Menu takes you even deeper into the restaurant business, providing an intricately laid out plan on how to begin, execute and flourish the business. The book is a no-nonsense guide, and an actually useful one for that. The author discussed many aspects of starting a restaurant with his previous experiences so as to help the reader connect with his story and give them with examples, of what not to do in the business. The book focuses a great deal on documentation and numbers, which is shown generously throughout the book as it is filled with many charts, tables and database templates. The numbers are also provided, with great assumption, but that does the job of making the reader understand the importance of the same. The writing is concise, and clear. Wazir doesn't leave any assumption in the air as he structly clears every major question that might arise in an aspiring restauranteur's mind.Easily one of the most meaningful non-fiction I've read this year so far, Beyond The Menu is a must read for anyone who is interested with finance and business.

A priceless compilation from experience
The book takes you from the obvious into the experiential. So much wisdom culled from years of wisdom, shows thru every chapter.Thru the book the author has shared almost enough to enable one to set up his or her own restaurant.. Almost!Being a restaurant consultant, I am sure there is much more advice that the author will be able to share to enable a successful venture.I am told that the restaurant industry had a high failure rate and I guess this is a tool to avoid that.A must read.. To practice too..
