This is a tan enhancing lotion that smells nice and rubs in like any bronzing lotion. Do make sure you have time to apply it, rubbing it all the way into the skin so there won't be streaks or uneven patches, AND HAVE TIME FOR IT TO DRY in place before you put on your swimwear and go outside--I like to make sure I have a half hour of free time for that before going out. With that little allocation of time, and some massage, this lotion will supply a nice bronze color to the skin before even getting into the sun; that really helps get over the confidence gap when getting outside in a bikini when you have really pale skin in the areas that don't often see the sun. Once in the sun, you can feel that you're absorbing a bit more of the radiation than normal; it isn't just a skin dye. In fact, the colorants wash out later with soap in the shower, but it definitely seems to help get a tan faster (my tan shade is a very red color, thanks to American genetics, so I can easily tell it apart from the orange/bronze tone supplied by the lotion). So this lotion is like a super-temporary fake tan to get you out into the sun without feeling embarrassed about pale skin patches, with melanin-boosters to get your skin to darken naturally while you're out there.They do include warnings in the instructions to put on SPF sun blockers before applying this tanning lotion, which to me seems counterproductive, but I don't burn easily and I tan pretty quickly, so I guess that's important for people who burn more. I just apply it directly, without the sunblock, since I'm in a northern climate with weaker sunlight and I need all the sun exposure I can get. Glad to have found a product that helps me get the max benefit out of my time in the sun!

This applied a bit too orange for my liking and went on like self tanner - you have to really make sure you rub it in or you get streaks and weird color markings. I showered after being in the sun for a couple hours and the orange-ness washed away so that was good news because I was scared of what my skin was going to look like after it had sat on there for awhile. The smell is great and I think it does help amplify your tan but I just am not a huge fan of how carefully you have to apply it at first to make sure you have good coverage to ensure that you tan evenly.

I personally really like the mango scent a lot, it's tropical and summery and fun. I am fairly fair skinned and I didn't feel like this deposited a lot of color on me, not enough to look orange. Maybe I was using less than some other people were and that's the reason?I'm not entirely sure how these products work but I almost always turn red/pink in the sun and using this browning lotion has consistently given me a kiss of color without looking like I've burned. You still need SPF and you should be applying that first before this product. Also I generally just sit out for an hour or two so I'm only exposing myself to a small burst of sun versus sitting out all day long. The distinction matters! I don't know that it would work as well if I were out in the sun for really extended periods of time.So far though I love this stuff, and will repurchase when I run out!

I thought I would need to be out in the sun after applying this to achieve the color, but it was a tanning color right out of the bottle. Be sure to rub it in all the way, or it will leave streaks. Wash your hands well after applying--it does leave a tan colored residue. The scent is nice. No irritation to my skin whatsoever.

I have olive toned skin that tans very well, but I unfortunately don’t get much time to go out a tan even on a tanning bed. This lotion worked really well to enhance the tan I have achieved so far this summer. It gave me a perfect deep, bronze shade. The lotion smells good and caused no irritation at all. Will definitely be using this all summer.

First, I love the mango scent. It's a refreshing change from the scent of other tanning products. Next, be ready for some tint right out of the bottle. It tints your skin, your hands, and your clothes if you're not careful. Be sure to rub it in well, and wash your hands when you apply it. I've used it before getting in the tanning bed and I can see a nice boost in my tan compared to before. Overall, I'm happy with the results.

This seems more like a bronzer lotion than a tanning lotion. It came out a bit orange too. Had to scrub my hands and make sure to let it dry to not spread it. Overall I will not be using this in the tanning bed as I felt it didn't make a difference
