Good quality unit for the home, without a high price tag.
Good bang for your buck. This unit took me (middle-aged female) and my 15-year-old son approximately 3 hours to assemble. Considering that we are somewhat mechanically inclined, the assembly was simple. The unit is solid once assembled (better than I expected, actually). My son is an athlete who trains year-round. We purchased this unit to add to his home options when he's not at the gym/with his team training. This unit allows him to do everything he wants or needs. We already had a plate rack/holder and bar, so we did not install the plate holders on the back side of the unit to save space. No issues at all, and saved us about 8 inches of depth. Is it a commercial unit? No, but honestly, we do not see a need for that in a home unit. This unit meets all our high-level needs, without the commercial price.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I LOVE this. I got the F22 rack with the bar, bench, and weights. I'm on week 21 and look forward to every day on it! Assembly instructions are pretty good. (Though I ended up putting quite a few sections together backwards and having to take them apart and do them correctly. That might be my bad. I often mix up my right and left directions. But, just pay attention.) The rack is stable and strong. It's a little short, but you get used to curling up your legs for pullups and dips pretty quickly. The 35lb and esp. 45lb rubber plates are thick/wide. I added some traditional "Standard" iron plates so I can get more of them on the cable horns for seated rows and lat pulldowns. Having it in my garage, I NEVER miss gym day. NOT HAVING TO DRIVE TO THE GYM MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD!!! The pullup grips are fantastic. The dip handles are very hard - I wear gloves for padding. The cables are smooth and steady. The weights ride up and down easily. I ultimately removed the landmine - didn't use it, found it in the way. I bought the leg holder to do lat pulldowns - that's just okay. Does what it's supppsed to, but it's clunky/inelegant.

Perfect addition to my home gym
I am amazed at the sturdiness and quality of this rack/functional trainer. The features this offers are extensive. From dips to land mines to rows! It does it all. The pulley system is incredibly smooth regardless of the weight added. No clunking or squeaking noises and solid as could be. This rack replaced a bar and also a squat rack saving me space in my home gym. Assembly was not difficult and I was able to do alone without assistance. I used ratchets which I would suggest and not the tools provided. Using your own tools will speed up the process. I enjoyed the assembly process and thrilled with the end result!

Solid, well built for price
Pleasanly surprised how sturdy it is. Was looking for something that would fit in base ment, have alot of functionality and not habe a huge foot print. Also came with a good amount of attachments. Haven't loaded it up with crazy weight. Held 300lbs no problem, nice and solid.

Good overall for a cheaper starter rack, guide rods had some friction
Good overall for a cheaper starter rack, but the functional trainer carriage had too much friction on the guide rods and wouldn't glide - had to remove 1 of the 4 caps on each carriage to get them to glide without resistance. Would have been 5 stars if not for this issue. Seems like an easy fix to this would be for Major Fitness to redesign the carriage caps to have a 1mm wider inner diameter to give the rods more space to be slightly bent or out of alignment without creating friction. Once I removed one of the caps, the pulley glides smoothly. I may have preferred a 1:1 instead of a 2:1, so do your research on which one is better for your needs - for heavier weight exercises like a low row, it's a bit of a pain to stack enough weight (my normal 1:1 100 lbs I now need to stack 200 lbs). One of the plastic foot pieces that actually contacts the floor was broken on arrival, support sent me a new one. Poor design on putting the weight horns in the rear (I knew this ahead of buying it, I get they're limited on what they could do given the space needed for the functional trainer, but they could have done something better), I ended up not installing them because I don't want to have the rack sit an extra foot from the wall in my small gym space, and worry about damaging the wall with the weights - ended up buying a separate plate tree instead. Attachments are basic and don't spin, but sufficient for a starter set. Kind of awkward to figure out how to position a bench to do lat pull downs, removing the band pegs helps. The bench itself seems pretty solid, no complaints so far. Wider hole spacing makes it a little difficult to find the exact right height for some exercises, not sure I'd be able to use the safety arms to push my bench limits alone, and would be nice if J-hooks were an inch or 2 taller to catch & protect the rack. Pull up bar grips feel good. Landmine attachment is a nice touch. Can get much cheaper starter bar & plate set from Dick's if you don't need bumper plates (Fitness Gear 300lbs)
