I have severe arthritis in both my knees. Bending to sit on a toilet seat is more than just difficult, it’s extremely painful. I had one toilet in my hall bathroom changed with a chair height Kohler model.. The total cost was $700 for the toilet, plumber, parts and installation. I was happy to pay it after trying 3 different toilet seat risers that were more than worthless.. they were dangerous. I purchased a Lunderg toilet seat riser for my wife who has mobility issues. She requires a lot of physical help getting onto and off the toilet. Frequently, she said the plastic toilet seat hurt to sit down on. I wanted something that raised her up a bit, was comfortable to sit on for 5 minutes and most important didn't slide around on the toilet. I was not impressed with the other "stick-on" gel types or those held on by a suction cups alone. This seat is comfortable and solid. It is 2" of firm memory foam making sitting on it comfortable. It is attached to the plastic seat with suction cups and 4 velcro straps and has a non-skid surface holding it firmly down to the toilet seat. NO SLIDING! The white fabric that touches you is soft and easy to sit on. Also, it IS after all a toilet seat that gets messed up now and then during use, but it is so easy to clean and maintain. Spray cleaner, paper towel, and you are done. I very much liked the company's attitude and customer service. It's very clear that they are interested in their customers and work hard to meet their needs. I liked the seat riser so much I got a second one for another bathroom. Two thumbs up for quality product and quality service.

This purchase has certainly fulfilled the need for which it was intended. My husband is recovering from a stroke and this toilet seat makes going to the bathroom much more comfortable for him. The extra height makes it easier to get up and down, and the padded seat is much more comfortable than the hard toilet seat. The downside of this product is that it prevents the toilet lid from being able to be closed. Also, cleaning the toilet is more difficult with this seat attached. Not impossible…just more difficult. It is hard to clean between the attached seat and the original toilet seat. And not being able to raise the seat all the way makes it more difficult to clean the inside of the bowl. However, that being said, I would still recommend this product for an individual with this type of need. The comfort it provides to the user is worth the extra effort, in my opinion.

Worth the money for those who need the extra cushion. Easy on and off, and easy to clean. Would buy again. Medical condition is stress fracture Ischium bilateral, and this is very necessary equipment for pre-colonoscopy but good all around for regular use. Firm support but cushioned - nice balance.

I have another 4" brand at home for an elderly family member. However, we were going on road trip and the one at home was to bulky and rigid for travel. This one has straps and suction cups to keep it in place. It was a godsend for low toilets in hotels. After the first time or two, we just put it on the seat and didn't even use the straps. The suction cups stick right away and keep the riser in place. They work so well I was afraid I was going to damage the toilet seat! (But that never happened -- it just made a loud noise when I took it off!). My 'adopted mom' kept commenting on how comfortable it was and wanted to make sure it was ours! It is 3 inches tall and a little cushiony (but not too much), so it is very comfortable, but doesn't lose the height. It will go on every trip with us. It made the trip so much easier and she didn't end up with her knees killing her from having to get up and down on those toilets.

I bought a molded plastic seat, the kind that you attach without tools, because I am (a) crippled and (b) not especially handy. I had to send it back because, even though it said it fit 99% of toilets, it simply would not attach to mine. So this one, I thought, would be ideal -- what could go wrong with velcro straps and suction cups? Well, I was wrong. Pros: Suction cups and velcro straps keep the seat securely attached to the toilet seat. Soft, cushiony "feel" to the seat. Cons: Its squishiness means that, first, when you sit on it your own weight (I'm 150 pounds) changes the shape and configuration of the seat. It's a bit slippery, and when you adjust your posture in order to wipe you get thrown to the side a bit. You feel as if you might actually slide off. This is NOT good if you've just had hip surgery, because obviously you don't want to be panicking and trying to catch yourself on your operated leg. Someone could make a fortune by simply adding the velcro straps and suction cups to a regular molded plastic toilet seat riser. That would be the best of both worlds, and a real game-changer. Meanwhile, my surgery is tomorrow and I still don't have a decent toilet seat riser. Update - only two days later, Lundberg has sent me a sincere apology and an offer to refund the toilet seat. Now that's what I call excellent customer relations! I will absolutely be giving this company my full trust going forward.

This doesn’t tighten up right, and slides around, and gets messy really easy, I do not like it for my Husband, and it didn’t help him get up off the toilet any easier, so it’s useless for us. We took it off, and are t usuing it any more.

Post hip replacement surgery this padded seat is necessary. Elevated my small toilets and the cushion really helped my tender hip. Easy to clean with disinfectant wipes after each use. After installing one upstairs I bought another for downstairs and used some painters tape to keep the straps from folding under before I secured the seat. Once the seat is suctioned down release the tape and secure the straps

So far it’s working beautifully! Stays in place, dense but comfortable foam the 2” height was perfect as I have a taller toilet and it fit the elongated seat well.

What a wonderful product, it immediately stop my husband from using a commode he started using the toilet right away. Very comfortable
