Described in Detail by a Blind Customer!: Nice Ruler, Cheap Tape Measure
Hi,, I am totally blind, so I would like to describe this in detail so that other people who are blind like myself will have a better idea of what they would be buying. The ruler is nice with lots of Braille. The tape measure is cheap, short, and has no Braille: The ruler is flexible but seems pretty sturdy. It has Braille markings for inches and centimeters. It isn't very wide: The Braille is close to the raised lines but readable. It is Marked "Inch" and "CM"at the starting ends of the ruler. The inches are marked in Braille at increments of one inch, with raised lines at 8th inch intervals, and the centimeters are marked in Braille in increments of two centimeters, with raised lines at 4th centimeter intervals. The tape measure was a bit of a disappointment: This is a very flexible plastic strip with metal loops (like holes for a belt buckle) marking inches and feet. An inch is marked by one hole and a foot by two holes. There is no spool, and the stiff end is part of the entire five feet. There is no Braille on it. You have to count the holes. Being only five feet long, it is also rather short for measuring the length of a wall...
