I just opened this Amico 6 pack of LED gimbal lights. I ordered these for an upcoming new house build. Of three sets of gimbal lights, these are the best I reviewed. I ordered these specifically for installation into a sloped (vaulted) ceiling so the lights can still point straight down. You could also use them to illuminate artwork directly on a wall.* The lights I received are marked as 12W, 1200 Lumen and air-tight on the box. They do have a gasket around the perimeter to help seal against the ceiling opening.* These lights swivel much further than my previous swivel lights (purchased in about 2010). These easily swivel up to 90 degrees.* The housing and junction box are 100% made of metal (best). This is in contrast to some of the other gimbal lights I ordered which were 100% plastic. The quality and finish are nice, the metal is painted in white and looks good. There are also small heat-sink fins directly on the back of each light. The light lens is reduced in size somewhat, as the gimbal portion is undersized compared to the main housing. This is expected for a gimbal type of fixture.* The light color is selectable with a switch on the top of the junction box. I like a more yellow hue (compared to pure white), and this feature also allows me to balance with other light brands that might be in the room.Of three sets of gimbal lights that I ordered, these are all metal and the best quality. These swivel easily and the housing does not block much of the light. Recommended.

I got these "can" lights to install in a closet that I'm turning into a wine closet. I wanted a gimbal type light so that I could have the lights aimed at the wine racking that I'll be installing and I liked that these lights allow the light to vary from flat with the ceiling to a full 90 degrees perpendicular to the ceiling and anywhere in between.I also like that these lights are fully sealed, meaning that even when they are angled, there is no way for air, dust, etc. from the joist space above the light to get into the closet below the light.What else is there to like? The five user-selectable color temperatures is a nice touch; whether you want ultra-warm mood lighting or really bright blue-ish work lighting or something in between, this will let you pick whatever suits your needs. I appreciate that while they include the push-in wire connectors, they don't pre-install them on the wires (I like to use traditional twist-on wire nuts and hate when I have to remove the push-in wire connectors. I also like that these are ETL certified (the equivalent of a UL listing), which I think is a must-have for any line-voltage device that I'm installing in my house.I tested these with a Lutron Diva DVCL-153P dimmer switch and they dim nice and smoothly down to a very low dimmer setting without any apparent flickering or buzzing and--importantly--also turn on reliably even when the dimmer is at its lowest setting. Only time will tell if these hold up as long as an LED light should, but I always make sure that I purchase an extra light or two just in case some don't last as long--I don't want to be searching around in a few years to try to find a new light that matches these.

I wanted to wash a wall with light that has a bunch of our artwork. What i wanted more was to have the light sit further away in the ceiling, yet focus the light on the paintings.These were the perfect application for what I wanted, yet they could be used in so many ways.The 4 inch light swivels to create any angle up to 90 degrees. Once installed, it is very easy to position.The other thing that is a must - which these lights have is the ability to select the color of white that you are looking for. There is NOTHING WORSE than having two different colors of white casting in the same room, let alone the house. I just hate it when I see a cool white next to a warmer white. These are color selectable! So you have accurately compare them to your other lights and get them all matched up.I enclosed pictures so you can see where the switch sits in the housing box - easy to set it and then forget it!.An absolute must to have is the metal wire connector housings, and these lights have high wuality housings. Just remember to purchase some plastic wire protectors, or metal screw down wire protectors so the wire is never cut by the metal casing. Short circuits = fire = bad.Just remember to use the proper cable, turn off your circuit breaker before you install them. and if you are not comfortable installing them, please hire a qualified professional electrician.LOVE these.

I just finished replacing one of the worst LED wafer lights I ever had to install with this one. The difference was day and night, as this Amico 4" gimbal is designed to be as easy of an install as possible. This light is designed to be super quick and easy, and includes just about everything you could need. It has a convenient little junction box with all 3 wires (the crappy light didn't have a ground) and 3 push-in style wire connectors. It also has a switch right on the j box that has 5? light temperature settings. It took me all of 10 minutes max to put this light in, and it functions well.

The 6-pack 4" gimble LED lights are supplied with connectors for easy retrofit or new installation. The impressive gimbal mechanism gives you a true 360-degree horizontal arc and 90-degree verticle axis, the reason why we chose these lights. The color temperature is also adjustable with a wide range to choose from, from warm/yellow 2700K light to a cool/blue 5000k. For less than $10/per light (with coupon) at the time of my review, these lights are a great deal given their quality and adjustability.

These are great replacement lights for our old ones. It was time for an update and we installed these lights in the living/family room. They light up our artwork. It looks so clean and elegant. They look great. Very bright and clean looking. Easy to install. I had a handyman install them. Took 5 mins per light because he was replacing the old lights. I recommend this product.
