I seldom write reviews, mostly because most of the items I purchase “perform as expected”..This is an exception...!! I was wondering if this brush would be nothing more than a gimmicky item.I liked the concept and that is why I ordered one.Was I in for a treat and a pleasant surprise!!This brush is a winner!Let me explain.. I have 8 cats and two dogs...As soon as I opened the package I tried it with one of my dogs...The tines work well and are servat a perfect angle... I was able to use my left hand to restrain the dog and my right hand to operate the brush...!I do not deny I was anxious to “see what happen” once the brush was “loaded” with hair...I pushed the release button and... Voilá !!! The clump of hair fell nearly into the plastic bag I was intending to collect it in!!I could do no more than smile!!IT WORKED!!! It worked BETTER than I imagined it would!I no longer have to interrupt the brushing, let go of a pet to clean the brush and then look for the pet to continue the process... this is a true time-saver...I only hope that they would make a bigger one available, as a larger one would require less brushing strokes..This is a very clever idea put into practice with amazingly great results!!

My dog hates being brushed with this brush because the bristles are too sharp. Also, the self cleaning mechanism doesn't go all the way to the end of the bristles when you press it so it doesn't push all the hair off. If you try to swipe the remaining hair off the end the bristles poke your fingers. This is a really clever concept but poor execution! Maybe one of the other brands makes a better product.

I am disappointed with the size. I was looking for a brush for LARGE Dogs. The description said it was 7 inches long, I took that to be the brush part. It turns out the brush is less than 3 inches, the size includes the handle! My dog and y cats do like it and it IS easy to clean. I DO wish it were large for my German Shepherd.

This is great! I use it all the time. It looks just like the picture. I have 2 high-shedding dogs so the brushing never ends.The button that clears the brush is a great feature. The button mechanism is very durable. My mom also has a dog and she remarked about how convenient it was.I've had it for a few months now and it's still as functional and new-looking as the day I bought it.I have no idea what the bell is for, though.

I have a Pomeranian husky named Faith @faithismyfriend and she sheds all year round. I lost her previous undercoat rake, and was using an ineffective standard brushI wanted something inexpensive and this caught my eye! I’ve had a similar brush for my cats before, and I really enjoy the self clean mechanism.This has worked beyond my expectations! After only 5 strokes I got a whole bundle of fur!She doesn’t seem irritated by the brush, and it’s catching a lot more fur than my $15 regular brush

I can't believe someone didn't come up with this design before or maybe they did and I just never saw it. Works really well getting the undercoat off of my long haired cats and they absolutely love it when I brush them. I also use it to brush my comforter and furniture to remove the hair that gets left there.

Works wonders! We got this mainly for the price point, but are amazed at how well it really gets the dead and loose undercoat out of our lab mix and long haired dachshund. Not having to brush the brush to clean it is a huge bonus and with the raising plate to push the loose hair up for you, cleaning the brush is a breeze!

Button doesn't retract bristles enough to clean hair. Nice size for our cat and small awkward dog areas. Use on cat, use alternative of dog. Smallish and basic but flawed hair cleaning on our brush.
